haha.. i just called him to ask when I can choose the tiles... he said this thurs.. haiz still have to wait for a few days.. i got a feeling that I wont b able to shift in by end april! hei btw, who is the contractor doing up ur place?? cos he is the only person who contacted me re: retifying the defects.. u got the HDB technical officer to check for the defects??

i was expecting him to call me today.. but he din and I was too busy to call and enquire.. so have to wait ove the weekend liaoz.. jessi, any idea what colour I can choose for the wall tiles in the toilet and kitchen?? the house that I saw.. the owner paid $500 xtra for a set of orange tiles.. size is bigger the ones HDB used.. very the nice loh.. den the toilet is using the white tiles that will b given FOC.. oso not bad... the whole kitchen and toilet appear brighter than the greyish tiles in my unit!

haha.. I think this greycat neighbour is busy with reno and ROM.. my reno is starting soon oso once HDB give me new set of wall tiles in the toilet and kitchen and new doors!! Hei, greycat.. I can accompany U to ur house when ur hubby is not ard.. hehe I go to my house alone oso cos my hubby cannot get leave for this whole mth.

Oh thanks.. my parents oso like the kitchen tiles.. the tiles were kinda bright yet its not so slippery cant wait to see it on my kitchen floor!!

ya loh.. i just called him asking when he is gg to start work.. i oso told him that I am really in a hurry to shift by end april.. so he said he will let me choose the tiles in a few days time..

need to wait for so long ah?? cos i spoke to the contractor.. he said he can finish within 7 days.. he seems to be doing up a few units in my blk.. i din get to choose the colours yet.. will contact him tomolo to liase with him again..

nuttin loh.. jus laying ceramics tiles.. u can try the DIY timber decks.. ard $20 per 18" somemore can remove and clean the floor underneath.. Look here

yea.. my hubby and I took very long to agree upon the homogenous tiles.. cos I really dislike the messy pattern on the tiles.. den the ID said if there is no pattern den the dirt will b very obvious.. and when the furniture is in.. I wont b so concerned abt the tiles.. haha luckily, i've found 2 other tiles that r very nice!!

mayb can jus put 2 rectangular cabinet beside the hood loh.. den wont look so bar on the wall.. saw some pix on the net showing minimum top cabinet with chimney hood.. look quite nice oso. was thinking of doing that as well.. but i got ugly pipes running pass the top of the kitchen wall.. so have to erect top cabinet to cover them up.. haiz.. more $$ wasted..

actually, if u put the furniture in.. the tiles will not b catching ur attention much.. I used to dislike the patterns on homogenous tiles.. my parents used those tiles for our house.. initially I find that the patterns look complicated and messy.. but after the furniture is in.. den the tiles actually kinda look ok to me.. keke i think u better save the $$ on ur home furnishing loh.. if not u have to sleep on the new tiles.. hehehe

Top tile ---> for kitchen and Svc Balcony (30x30 Ceramics) Tile on Right ---> Entrance foyer and Balcony (60x30 Ceramics) Tile in center ----> Rest of the house (60x60 polished homogenous) I really love the tiles for the kitchen and balcony.. dunnoe Y i dun really fancy 60x60 polished homogenous tiles. we took very long to decide upon the homogenous tiles~ hope that it will turn out swee swee for our new house! cant wait to for reno to b completed.. though its not even started yet

I was quoted $5.50 psf to supply and lay 60x60 homo tiles. total cost for my living room, study room and 3 rooms of my EA is almost 6k! I saw most forumers' quote was ranging $3.00 - $4.50 psf.. was I over quoted?? How do U think of Nam Huat tiles?? Went there yesterday.. but found that their 60 x 60 homo tiles range very limited.. the one that I fancied they dun have stock!!
