You can try courts megastore at tampines. They conduct demo and free lessons when you purchase from them. Brother will be good enough for a new beginner, it is affordable and has many functions. Another place will be spotlight. Not sure about the free classes .

Nope, they are still in business, follow joo Chiat road after joo Chiat lane and it's on the left side before traffic light cross junction of dunearn road and koon SENG road. There are chairs and furniture outside their shop where upholstery is in progress. There is another upholstery shop in blk 117 bedok reservoir road and they are more expensive. Hope this info is useful to you.

I did some upholstery on my leather sofa with a shop in joo chiat road. You can find it when you drive along joo Chiat road , left side of road before hawker centre traffic light, the price is reasonable and service is good.

Good info on the glass. Single glazed with solar film lamination is also another alternative to use for glass doors as tempered glass is expensive, and solar film can reduce heat, uv damage and glare in the house and works as added protection. -
Congrats to your new home. Looking forward to your journey and updates. God bless

, your tips about windows came a little late for me. my sliding windows came the other day and I realise that the window handles are so high up as they're located at the mid point of of my windows. I was very disappointed and a little worried as we are all short and have to really Reach up to unlock the windows. Maybe I need place a stool next to the window. -
Parquet Flooring Maintenance And Care
Suyun replied to felicia's topic in Home Maintenance & Repairs
There is a brand of liquid detergent for mopping parquet which you can fine in NTuc fair price. As for maintaining parquet, try to use hand to mop it or a slightly damped mop or cloth so to leave as little water on the parquet as possible. Dry it immediately if possible. As for how many years below your grind and polish again, it depends on you how badly scratched is your parquet and it's condition. Just remember that when your grind it , it gets thinner. Matt finish is easier to maintain as scratches does not show up so obviously. Glossy parquet is nice but scratches are more obvious. Hope this helps. -
No Hand dryers for me, but thinking of one hair dryer in master bedroom toilet,

I have PM you. Just to share. That I have stayed in same house when it was polished and vanished. It was not a pleasant experience. Though we slept in another room during renovation. I would not do it again. The smell was bad and I did not have a good night sleep. My kids really dislike the smell of the vanish. And the smell takes time to disappear. If possible, send the kids to your mum or MIL place to sleep. It is better for their health and well being. all the best to your Reno.
