they wont stay in their room even if there is a 42" TV in their room, just excuse lor sianz, last wkend, mil say she wants to go grandma plc but fil dun want to go with her, so my hb quickly say ' i send u there' then we ask bil to fetch her back cos we want to catch a show, bil say 'sorry, i can't help u, i am busy' dammed angry, i feel like telling him 'nvm, anyway u nvr help b4' i tell my hb 'i actually can live without him, i dont need him to follow me ard', we shd be stay separately when he's 'free' then look for me, i dont want to follow him 'ferrying' pple around

they hv everything inside the rm, but they nvr stay inside for long, cos they complain the TV is too small ..they prefer a 29inch TV outside.. What i don't understand is they are healthy, why don't they go out to work since they got nothing to do at home ?? or perhaps they can go visit the grandma, not sit at home whole day & wait for us to be 'free'.. i can be very stressed..esp when my work is so hectic, and i need my own time on weekends, not entertaining them.. :cry: btw, do u know can single {married} name rent a flat from HDB ? I knw for singles, must apply under JSS scheme,but how abt married ?

hi applefreak, usually my hb will call them whenever their relative visit too, just tell them to get ready, don't go out. but i guess they really feel paiseh to meet my relative Guess what, my mil told us that they are entitle to buy rental flat from HDB last time at concessionary price, but they just refused to buy see what happen now, they cannot even rent...

Hi applefreak, Tweetie can be F or M mah..hehee Hi zirhk, My relationship with PIL is ok lah, just that they not used staying with us, everytime my relatives come, they will go hiding...cos they feel that other pple will 'look down' on them ..this is which sometime i cannot deny or help lor, that is why i feel sad about..everytime got stuck in this dilema but every time if their relative come, they will feel very proud ..cos they got BIG hse to stay

hi all, GONG XI FA CAI ! Guess what happen on the cny holidays ... my relatives visit my plc during CNY..and my PIL gone hiding ..i feel so bad so embarrassed everytime, when they say want to come my plc, i hv to think of excuse..so sianz..but cny i cannot say no..then my hb call my pil tell them that my relatives coming, ask them to dress up or go out..up to them..and the chose to go out..idle .. Lucky, i got a understanding hb he says he also feel embarrassed for his parents..

hi zirhk & applefreak.. ya, i think you are right, sometime i feel that my marriage is on the verge of breaking down, duno how long can i "endure"..haha most of the time we quarrel bcos of PIL how should u folks think i shd help my PIL ? well,applefreak, mmm..i dun think ur method will works..nvm..guess i hv to bear with it.. since they cannot get loan, where on earth can they get a house ? now grandma says she's selling the 3rm..but she's been saying for the past 2 yr liao.. i already numb to her 'lies'..i have been trying ways & method to get them a flat, but i dosent seem to hv a way..

Everytime when they mention "They got no house, this is not their house" ..i really dunno how to answer them ..sigh.. sometime i feel that they dun hv a sense of belonging to this 'house', so they become abit bo chap (or lazy) cos sometime i see their toilet, bedrm can get abit dirty..

Hi raincole, No family gathering lor, only occassionly bil comes over to visit pil pil also know that sil dun like them so they nvr go to their hse they only hide on our hse, also seldom go out

yahor, good idea..but who will lend u the name, only my mil then so silly to use her name for grandma flat ! hi raincole, see you also think that we are so unfilial ! not to mention others..we just feel that why must the elder son got escape scot free.. ya, we wish to hv our own place,this is provided parent also hv their own hse, but this was impossible already..it they had, it will be 30yrs ago !! Now, we are like stuck forever with these burden, sometime we just wish that we disappear from earth forever..then duno what will happen to PIL..they wont die, right? At times, we do think of after selling our hse, buy a unit for them, while we rent or stay at my parent plc to avoid gossip.... but i m sure PIL will be unhappy too..

hi applefreak, oh i see..that means grandma die die must find another person to replace MIL's name? she really cannot own the flat singly ? i dunno abt this at all..hehe ..then wat if grandma passed away, will my MIL automatically take over the flat singly or she has to sell it too ? I was surprise to find out that my fren's mum who is a divorcee, not working is able to rent a Yio Chu Kang 2 rm flat directly frm HDB, why is it so ? Even my hb's grand aunt, 80+ (grandma's sis), who is single, is also renting a 2rm flat from HDB directly too, she lives alone now. surprise to learn tat these pple got their way ~hehe

hi applefreak, so my assumption is correct,haha.. i can put PIL name into my hse as occupier..then MIL name can be remove from the 3rm flat..but why will HDB force grandma to sell the flat? she has already clear the loan & she's >35yr, though not single but widow..u mean single owner can't own the flat? she's widow mah. i thot under the HPS, she can singlely own the flat i don't get what you mean" less seeing each other means less friction means better relationship " who are u referring to ? i am seeing my pil everyday...

hi raincole, don't u think it look very bad on us ? both sons hv hse but none can let them stay:( They cannot rent directly from HDB cos MIL name still stuck in grandma's hse. Do you know if we were to include PIL name in our hse as occupier, will her name be automatically remove from grandma's hse? force her to remove her name in this case..hehe but on the other hand,sometimes i really saluate PIL for not having a hse and can still survive under pressures for so many years..

hb is younger son, parent stay w us bcos they got no choice, no bcos they like my hb more..bcos elder son is super henpecken, the wife say cannot means cannot lor, he got no say

hi zirhk, granndma says we hv hse so PIL shd stay with us..i just feel that why is it has to be us..cos hb got another brother mah,why can he get away scot free? i know i hv got to bear with it, but sometime is PIL making us look awkward, u know sometime my brother comes my hse, they will go hide in their rm, dun dare to come out even they need go toilet, i was so pissed off

hi zirhk The grandma now rent out that flat, she is staying with another son..she is not staying or selling either if she agree to sell, things wont be so complicated now..she says the house got sentimental values..but she refuse to let pil stay cos she say we got our hse shd move out

Hi babytan, is your fren upgrading or downgrading? did ur fren get HDB loan at bank interest? i understand that if u get 2nd flat direct purchase from HDB , you will hv to pay resale levy of your first flat + interest. Hi zirhk, Well, FIL wants to move out, by MIL dosen't wants..so he cant get a flat on his own, he keeps pestering mil to remove her name from grandma's flat too..but she has no $$ to top up if she were to withdraw her name. Sometime u will feel vex when u see them like that.. yalor, stay put until i die lor, what to do.. !! !!..our living habits dun click, although we dun hv conflict , but we are trying very hard to accomodate lor..everytime they see me walk out, they walk somewhere,we are like 'stranger' at home..everytime, dinner time, they will wait for me to eat first then they eat..very streessful...esp in morning, they know i m gg out to work at 730am, so even they are awake, they will wait until i hv left the house b4 they come out of their room :Sad: ..sometime i feel unwelcome, or rather weird lor..my hse like hotel 81..hahaha~

so the mother only has to pay back the amt she used for the grandma's flat..the funds will be top up to her RA account.. err, complicated family problem..actually i am referring to my pil not parents, they has 2 sons..both son has own hse....but the elder son's hse is forbidden lor..cos his wife dun allowed PIL to stay w them so we hv no choice but to let them stay..but for us is that we feel the finanicial pinch, so we thot of downgrading ..but duno where will they stay lor..i am the dil who wants to move out too..

ohoo,like that jialat.... that means they cannot buy flat lor..but we did a check with HDB 2yr ago, they mention that she need not top up MSS as it was implemented for those who are 62 at yr 199x.. so i don't think is a force pledge lor..so vex with this housing arrangement..parents are not worry that they hv no house, their elder son don't allow them to stay ..they are also alright..

so sad hor , cannot take loan, cannot use CPF $$ (RA)...but i thot if u never pledge under MSS, then shd be able to use the RA funds right? I think this MSS was implemented in 1997 or 8~ Then how abt studio apartment? What are the condition to buy ? Looks like there is no other way to buy liao~
