I got the 655 too (after asking ARCHer ) and its great, but abit pricey. If you're looking for a router that can handle many connections (e.g. Bit Torrent) and gaming at the same time, this is the one. You can look for more info on the hardwarezone forum on the performance of various routers.
-
Thats a good idea, since you probably have a spare router lying around anyway. But you may need to consider if it creates additional latency (which can cause you a game if you're playing 3D shooters online)
-
Your DLink-655 is very distinctive with those upgraded antennas

Wah! Envious! Your progress is very very fast! When is your home going to be ready? Meanwhile you can rent out your pool table to recoup your reno cost

ELCB = Earth leakage circuit breaker An earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) is a device with two earth terminals used to directly detect currents leaking to earth from an installation and cut the power.

Saw a shop that specialized in carpets at The Furniture Mall. But may be quite pricey. Anyway, some furniture shops sell 'carpet' or 'rugs' too. Think I saw some at lifestory too at Great World City.

Just the right thread when I'm looking for info on this as well. My parents use a huge plastic 'tong' and store the rice under the stove as well. I think I'll run over to SEIYU and take a look at this container. For Chunky Monkey, I think you need to decide how often you need to access your 'fan tong'. 80-20 rule will probably determine if you want to spend more to improve on your method to access your grains

Thanks! Tomorrow is final touch-up, so I'll be there to take a look. Your renovations looks like its going pretty well too. Enjoy the process

Yup! Hand over this week. Will give a full review when I'm done. So far so good Anyway, I think Benedict runs around the island visiting all the units so probably quite busy.

Hi all, Does anyone know if the local IKEA carries this CEREMONI Candelabra? If not, have you seen anything similar anywhere in Singapore? Thanks!

Parents using techno glass hob for 10 years and seems ok. I recently got the same (upgraded) model as well but can't really comment as I haven't used it yet.
-
Nice house! I have all white walls too, as well as gray floor tiles. Benedict probably mentioned about my place hehe
-
Good luck! Hang in there and it'll be done soon.

Probably some estimation on the maximum height of Singaporeans + lights / ceiling fan. My guess is that for resale HDB, the flats are 'as-is' condition, so in the event that you sell the flat, at least they guarantee that the 'tallest' person can live in it without changing anything.
-
Unfortunately if you're living in HDB, there is a limit as to how 'low' your false ceiling can be. I had the same problem as well so instead of trying to hide it, I used the beams to partition the areas using different designs of the false ceiling and different lighting setup.

Which Brand Of Refrigerator Are More Energy Save?
pencil replied to alice916's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Page 3 has a Toshiba. Anyway, the list is not absolute and you should calculate the energy used versus the size (volume) of it. But like what some of the previous posts states, the estimated annual cost can be negligible. -

If you are really particular about this, check Energy Labelling for Fridge -
You need to consider how long your aircon will last. In the event of an aircon disaster, you will have to pay to remove the boxup, fix the problem and do the boxup again. My boxup is limited to a 1 feet by 1/4 feet area just enough to make it look like part of the beam, but my ID was nice enough to do it for me as part of doing the false ceiling in the living room.
-
I 'hide' some of my trunking inside my store room. The rest are just exposed but are stuck closely to the side of the walls or ceiling to minimize it from sticking out too much. Of course, make sure the aircon installer fill up all the gaps and you need the trunking to be painted so that they 'blend' into the background. Oh.. and beware of the beams. Very irritating. I have a short stretch where the trunking had to go under one of my beams and I got my ID to box it up so that it looks like part of the beam.

Congrats. I'm almost done with mine and will give a final verdict when everything is done. I think so far he hasn't failed on getting back on anything we asked, so hopefully it will carry on for the next 1 - 2 weeks. !! Anyway, there will be times when issues beyond anyone's control will pop up. Its very important for the ID to work with you and for you to be comfortable with the ID so that things will work out. Have fun with your reno! -

Alamak. Too many PMs. I think this forum has mentioned a few of those neighborhood shops around. Just pick one that is near your location. Their price is almost similar and based on the GSS promotion too. When I got it, it was $2.3k for my 37R81.
-
Nope, though I have my fair share of living-out-of-suitcase experience so I know it can be quite painful if you don't know how to keep yourself sane. Definitely drool quality. Ultimately though, you need to be happy. No amount of $$$ will help you otherwise.

Sometimes, when they give you alot of money but no time to spend it. Especially those who newly join IB, so you end up being quite rich but no time to spend the $$$. It all depends on what your threshold is. For example, what would you exchange for in order to accept that fact that you may be asked to get on a plane in a few hours notice, ignoring all your private arrangements
