Oh, but good to find things you like and at a good price! haha, shopping is the fun part, while moving is the part that most people hate. I think I will do the same, slowly move... wow, king size is huge, most new houses can't fit in beds of that size. dressing table belongs to another era. I want to fit in a queen size bed, one wardrobe and a dressing table, and my bed can't face certain direction... not sure if possible without looking weird.

Hey your floor plan looks almost like mine, but yours seems a bit bigger? More than 70sqm? My bedroom doors face the living room rather than each other and no storeroom. Initially my budget also 20k, but finally I decided it is impossible as I need to hack and do floors, change kitchen wall tiles, and a whole lot of other stuff. So I signed up with a contractor for 25.5K (and the cost is still creeping up as got more things that I felt necessary to do, though I also don't know how long I would stay there.) Hacking is very ex due to haulage, so if you can hack less, save more money. once you hack the wall between living room and kitchen, need to redo the waterproofing, and level up the floor to living room height, so additional money. The Lbox also ex, and I gave up on getting it. Sigh, every thing, even those that seems small, add up to be a lot of money.

Hi Any one use rectified edge homogenous tiles before? Are most of the homogenous tiles from major companies like Soon Bee Huat non-rectified edge tiles (since they did not quote that its rectified edge)? I went to Rice Fields and realise they carry both rectified edge and non-rectified edge tiles. I did a google search and it seems that rectified edge tiles are cut more precisely and can appear to have a smaller grout but have less tolerance for laying errors. I like the idea that the grout looks smaller but worried that if I choose rectified edge, the tilers may not be experienced enough to handle. Furthermore, my contractor told me that he does not know what is rectified edge! Anyone can share your experience using this type of tiles? Choosing tiles is a real headache. thanks!

Hi its the windows or the grills too?　I told my contractor I don't like the bronze color windows and grills, but he told me can't paint, can only replace.

Could you share the price of doing this? I asked my contractor to do something similar, just that its around the size of a door, but he says cost $250, which I think is rather ex. Sadly, I couldn't get the same contractor as you as he is too busy. But I really love the look of your house!

Thanks! Hope you find your dream bed soon. I saw one at Grafunkt, can't remember if the headboard is straight or curved, they had one without headboard. But I was trying not to react too much when they told me the price tag. I don't understand why so hard to find nice and affordable beds in Singapore. the ones that usually come with the mattresses usually so ugly. I like the classic looking headboard like these and these. but I gave up trying to find in Singapore. Even if I find it, its going to cost a bomb. thanks for the pm on the contractor.
