Hi gyus, can I check if I want to lay homogeneous tiles, do I need to get HDB to screed the floor before laying tiles? Cos' I'm under the impression that screeding is to make the floor very smooth to lay laminates. And for laying tiles, if the floor is too 'smooth', the tiles won't be able to lay and 'stick' to the floor. Can anyone pls advise. Thanks. Forgot to add that my flat is a new 4 room standard flat, i.e. no floor tiles kind.

Hi guys, I'm in the process of finding IDs/contractors to reno my place. However, I've also realised that some of the contractors companies can't be found on the HDB licensed contractors website. Is it an offence to engage such contractors or rather any consequences of any sort? Even some of the more commonly used contractors companies cant be found on HDB website.
