yeah i came across such agents too and sad to so way my last choice flat i gave it up simply becos i was peeved with the agent who wanted 1% from me when i walked right into the door. he was the sellers agent. now im searching again and my present agent really does his work bringing us around, giving advice and keeping us updated. so im actually hoping a deal will go thru with this agent for my current choiuce unit so that i can pay him his well-earned commission.

hi zlia, my son seems ok now after the preventive inhaler..flixotide. inf fact i have taken him off the inhaler. i will though bring them will be when i travel. the preventer and ventolin inhaler which is only for when wheezing occurs. i hope he wont get it again though. after the flixotide he has stopped coughing.

i seee anyhow, im still peeved about the current salary thingy. Current employer is not aware of my new certification and was told to inform them so they can revise salary when i 'achieve' the status..but i dont want to tell them cos i wanna leave the company. but now having difficulty in getting market rate for my qualification as the headhunter always say 'what such a high jump from current salary...dont u think a bit unreasonable'...it gets tiring to explain to them..sigh

what u do mean by ' a lot of people dont go by headhunters?'.......isnt that a norm now if ur skillset is highly in demand u get calls now and then from headhunters. maybe i misunderstood what u meant.

u mean from hdb?? yeah....why dont they increase supply for hdb instead of the private. not everyone can afford the newly launched private apartments. or did they mean there will be more supply of hdb flats??? im kinda confused

but it seems hiring companies always ask for current salary as if it always has to be a percentage of the current. what if someone accepted a lower salary cos of location ( super near home). for example I just passed an exam in my field which would be equivalent to the bar exam for lawyers or ACCA for accountants. so when i factor the 2 factors above i expect more than 30% increment in salary( which is the market price for a person of my qualification) but they r so obsessed about knowing my current salary which to me is irrelevant.how can i get around this to my advantage? anyone??

i know no need to reply,...but just want you to know that like everything else in life...this too will pass. so take heart...it wont be for long.

would be nice to have friendly neighbours...well at least courteous and not cold 3 and unfriendly. got 3 neighbours...2 units r 2nd owners...1 unit accepted our gift for CNY but the other one dun open door. so we gave up. not true that moe teachers can go back early if start early...maybe 10 years ago it was like that. now its common for morning session teachers to go back ard 4 to 5 pm...got so many activities and meetings etc. if it was a 7am to 1pm job...waaaaaahhh...dream job...why would i quit...even though 40 kids in a class is still a nightmare.

agreed...i see parents being selfish and rude in public when they r with their children. they set examples of what is acceptable behavior in public. its really sad. in fact it is revolting when people in less developed countries have better basic manners. that is why i say the movement will have to be agressive.it will have to permeate schools workpalces and every nook and cranny of our lives. it aims to be as successful as the stop at 2 campaign im really at a loss of what to say to a society where the people dont even have the basic courtesy to say 'excuse me' and prefer to shout 'hey' or cluck their tonques to get people to move. its in a state of decay

yeah im confused too. lower val = lower purchase price if it was agreed that price= val + cash. if price was agreed as a lump sum and then there is a lower val then it would mean a greater cash portion. right??? so why did he panic??

true...agent bluntly told me i'd prefer to sell u the house cos u r direct buyer and i get 1% com from u. when i made an offer that will not equate to him earning more than what he was expecting...he said that then its the same as the last offer and was not interested.

i asked questions becos im not familiar with how things work with property agents and how they work. thank you to those who helped make things clearer. sarcasm not appreciated. plus im done discussing....i know what i want and what i should do now.

i really feel for u cos my mom went thru a c-sect more than once and each time she was in great pain and it was nothing to laugh about.....it was excruciating. and healing took months. also my ward neighbour in the hospital after i delivered, went thru c-sect and she looked like she went thru ****. couldnt eat, drink, sit walk for days. she said it was torture cos she had normal delivery b4. but apparently this varied from person to person cos i had a relative who went thru c-sect and she really didnt feel anything such that went the nurses came with painkiller she said no need no pain...woaw. imagine that!! maybe its how well ur body heals..i donno.
