Yeah, finally. My contractor called me that Caesarstone managed to give me the kitchen top so tomorrow they will install. And so by next week, we will officially complete our renovation. I will stop hearing hubby nagging at me with all the nonsense things...phew.

cookiez, Urs are cheap. I was quoted $14.90/sqft for rainbow, which means my 1 bedroom will be $505 already. I do normal roller blinds that cost $6-7/sqft for 2 bedrooms n living is already $700. Urs, good buy leh.

For my case, we have place to stay so my contractor commit at least 8 weeks, seriously if not because the delay in my kitchen top, he can hand over by end Dec which I can say he is within the time line but its my husband who is so flicker minded, everything done already then he want to add this and that. I'm just surprise yours can complete less than 8 weeks...Cool.

This was how I spent my Christmas day. My Momento artwork. A little tips when applying Momento: 1. My contractor helped me to apply almost 1.5 bottles of Momento primer on this wall. 2. I used 1.25 bottles of Momento paint Sparkle Silver ( Steel Charcoal) - This amount of paint is because the area blocked by TV console (1.5m) and aircon which I did not paint. 3. If more than 2 persons doing that piece of wall, you will get different strokes because of different hands and remember DO NOT re-apply 2 coats, you will only darken the wall and the effect will not be there, it will become patches. So, when first apply, generously apply cross strokes on it, as long as you don't see the white background will do. 4. After 10 mins, you supposed to use the scrapping kit to level the paint but I think not necessary, all I used was the paint brush without the paint, the effect still the same. In my context, waste the money just to buy Momento kit which cost $20. My regrets: Aircon and console should not be there, ended up I can't paint the top of above the aircon, no skills and I think damned difficult, many times I have smudged onto my ceiling. Don't care already, many 2 years later I will paint again. Total damaged:$140 2 cans of primer $24. 2 cans of Momento paint $96 1 Momento kit set $20

Its my concern too but after measuring, as per my contractor, all washing machine is standard size so we trusted him. The catch here is, you will only have half the space to access the rubbish chute, well, everyday you will only open once, based on my daily use, so no issue for me lah.

yes. My wall tiles are laid fully up to the ceiling. As per my contractor, even if he don't lay tiles at the kitchen cabinet area, the price will not change so for him, he prefer to lay all the way up. That's his theory lah, I also don't know anyway most of the wet works are quoted 1 lump sum so I believe what he said loh.

Router on the floor?? I'm so not used to it because last time I got a study room, so everything in the study room but now everything has to go into my son's room and hubby think not good, so he said that he want all the router, modem at the top of the cabinet in the living room instead. That's y we purposely design the cabinets to have slits for the WIFI to work.
