Ya, I think its either my kitchen too small or the Amazon stuffs I got too big. The containers fit just nice, no more allowance especially the tall one that put spagetti. I think I underestimate the size, because my wall has a beam so the cabinet only have half the space to put the stuffs. Guess I have to do another round of spring cleaning to find a place for my new stuffs and throw away my old stuffs.

While checking on the iparcel shipment. Mr Speedpost knocked on my door. My items just arrived!! Now waiting for the last batch which is still in US. After looking at the cutlery tray, I think my drawer can't fit. Will try tonight.

Haha. The whole idea is not to let my hubby n son peek when I'm cooking. So by looking at the glass door, they will get giddy.
-
Ya, that's my thoughts too, unless I do all the way to ceiling. I think I can live with the screws, anyway we are not looking at the door everyday, in fact the time spend at home is so so little.

Shower screen in MBR This is one I supposed to be in standard height. My contractor told me that standard glass panel is 1.8m, so if do ang moh's house, they usually use full glass panels. When I step in, I think its alright because I'm only 1.65m but hubby is taller than the shower screen, thus he find it too low that he can't use the rain shower else water will splash out. Then gd loh, I can declare the rain shower belongs to myself.

Common toilet bi-fold door Nothing special, anyway I think no difference with PD door and PD not really that user friendly. Have tried my friend's toilet door, must demo before use. Haha, and he said repaired once already after he moved in less than a month.

Yesterday, my glass works are up. Sliding door view from living Sliding door view from kitchen Ok, look at the hinges. Hubby found the screws look obiang. But my contractor said unless we do box up, else the hinges can't be covered. So, I think we live with it because I think box up need money and its not necessary look pretty. Any suggestion?

Kitchen Countertop

Most durable top would be granite or quartz material. But, they come with a price. -
I don't know where selling this because it was suggested by my contractor and he also never go into detail because he suggested to change pipes first. But however, I found a link in reno talk for the same topic. http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19901. Or maybe you should check with your ID regrading the water pressure.

Is either to change the size of the water pipe in your living room or add booster. I'm staying at top floor, having this problem for my rainshower in MBR, thus my contractor suggested to change the size of the water pipe in the living room, if still cannot then add booster but somehow, the pipes worked well for my water pressure so no need to add booster.

Oh issit?? When I'm sourcing for blinds, I also got to know Golden Leaf through reno talk, that's y I shortlisted them. Initially, I send them an email with our floor plan for quotation, then they replied. The quote seems ok, so I went down to their shop to see their quality, then arrange for on-site measurement. So far, their service quite ok the sales guy who came to my house for measurement also did the installation for me. Price wise, quite competitive, quality ok - the block out pvc not really feel like pvc which I like, installation ok - fast and not dusty, they just mount the brackets and then 'clicked' the blinds to it. I did asked if the mechanism is strong enough to hold the daily pulling, he said their mechanism is good, no worries anyway got warranty, any problem just call him. Btw, they have been in the market for 40 years already. Reason why I chose Golden Leaf: 1. Price seems ok, reasonable at least. H&M quoted $1800. Even if all using rainbow blinds also no need to ex. 2. Response fast. To me lah, at least they replied. Because hubby only willing to pay less than $800 for whole house, so...this is the reason.

Ok, I bought 3 bar stools from Beds.sg @ $59each with FOC delivery. I rejected 1 due to defect and paid for 2ea. My personal reviews for these stools don't expect too much because the amount you paid for worth this much. The quality not that fantastic and the stools are light, even my boy can carry the stool and walk around. The white is not something that I presume should be, thus can't blend into my kitchen. Sad to say, I have to live with these till they wear out. Most probably get another stool else where.

Some updates over the weekends. Golden Leaf came to install the roller blinds. Only took the blinds in my son's room. My boy's bed. He chose the bed frame color, very off right?

Hahaha.....wait later I really have alot of surplus stock to sell if I keep thinking that I still got space to put. -
Mine are pvc blinds, full blocked out. But if normal pvc $12 psf is expensive leh, unless you are talking about the dual blind aka rainbow blind.

Kim, you are tempting me to spend more money again, now even worse, you are joining forces. My hubby already officially warned me that no more buying from Amazon until we officially moved in. I keep buying without realizing that I have no place to put. -
Something to share. Good quality. Very heavy.

I love your island loh. Too bad my store room can't hack at all, else I also want open concept kitchen. Swee!

How often do you use the kitchen? It depends on your daily lifestyle. For heavy usage, solid surface or laminate is a no no. -
Make sure you fully utilise the kitchen. My hubby said I spent so much $$ on the kitchen, make sure I cook, bake, microwave very very often.
