The condition is much better than I saw one that rented out to an Indian FT. The moment I stepped in, I don't even want to move further and owner is asking for 30K COV.

Any Renovation Ideal For Toa Payoh 3S Corner
MrsLoo replied to cutebaby20's topic in Reno t-Blog Chat
Your layout is good, I think you can hack away the walls of your kitchen entrance and make an open concept. -
OIC. I was attracted to the raw wood texture during Expo fair too, that's y we are thinking to have Krono for our bedrooms. I can what you mean on the dusty feeling, so you must use Magic Clean mop very often.

Hi Salad, I love this floorboard and also wanted to have them for my bedrooms. Do you get Krono staffs to lay for you or your contractor can get them directly from Krono? I don't know should I get individually to do the floor or can just 1 contractor do everything.

Dear All, We have never engaged an ID before due to budget constraint when we first bought our flat. Since this is our 2nd time, we would like to engage an ID but I do not know if we 'die die' need to accept the design from ID or can we actually tell the ID what we want? Basically, I want less high maintainence features but I need professional suggestions when designing part of the house. -
To Buy Or Not To Buy?
MrsLoo replied to Lisa's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Hi Lisa, I guess your question is a tough one, even realtor they will not be able to answer you. We bought a 4A flat 8 yrs ago with zero COV, and just paid off this year and we decided to sell it away and downgrade into a 3A flat. Alot of my friends (some are realtor)did advise me not to sell because they claimed that property is going down soon, well, we have our long term plan, so we decided to go for it. When economy is slow, out of 5 flats we have seen, all seller is asking for around 40K cash. I questioned back the realtor, so what's the actual situation now. For your situation, you are paying for your landlord, eventually they own the house and you don't. To buy or not to buy really depends on what are you looking at, pte property or flats and which area do you want to stay? At the end of the day, buy within your means. Just my two cents worth of comments. -
You are right. It's pre-fabricate flat, the good thing is the wall very solid, difficult to fall and the bad thing is I can't hack any walls. No choice, since I wanted a 3A flat and that's the only layout I like. But the plus point is, old flat is still bigger than new flat.

Thanks ya. But, I'm still struggling if the dining should be in the kitchen or living. Anyway, just my husband, my 6yr old boy and me.

This is a good forum and really can learn alot from all the members here, thus decided to start a blog for my coming new flat which I never did 8 years ago. Please bear with me for this slow blog because it is only the initial stage as we have yet to go thru the documentation process but abit excited now to plan for the renovation. We are downgrading from 4A to 3A flat, thus I'm having a great headache on how to move in all my stuffs. Actually, I'm in dilemma if we should do a major overhaul but seriously the condition of the flat is very good and nicely renovated but its just not our likings, by hacking everything down, which means our pockets will have a big hole. Here's my floor plan. Too bad, I can't hack the storeroom to have open concept kitchen. Anyway, I will just need to get contractor to do my house or maybe I should do everything myself since I already know what I want.

Hi Sohnice, I have the same resale flat layout as you. I would appreciate if you can share your ID/Contractor with me because I need to do a major hacking for my 3A flat especially the house has alot of built in and L-Box with I do not like. Its kinda waste to hack a well fully renovated house but its not my style so still thinking how much should I spend for renovation. Thanks in advance. Br Mrs Loo
