At first I also thinking to buy Correll, the so-called 'unbreakable', right? But expensive leh.

Hahaha....Not only you...When I first know this brand is from Grand Copthorne Hotel. I worked in their service centre and they are using Luzerne cups, so even when I move to Bendemeer, I bought back the same cups. You know, just like you are having high tea in a hotel, that kind of feel....

Kim, you stay at CCK and you want to travel all the way down......Buy more now lah, save time and trouble mah. They said sometimes they will go up to 50% sale. My colleagues bought their wine glass and he said very good quality and cheap.....Do you know if you buy really alot, they will deliver to your house. Hahaha, I think I just need to go down occasionally to top up my collection.

This week has been slow, today the W/C and basins will arrive, thus hopefully they will be up by this week. Maybe tomorrow morning shall pop by to see. Just went to Golden leaf Curtain, the Salesman was friendly and thus have arrange on Sunday for site measurement. He had quoted me $6.50/sqft roller blinds and Day & Night curtain total ard $759. Was looking at their dual shades roller blinds (aka rainbow blinds), it is $14.90/sqft so the roller alone is $505 for one room. I think I will stick back to the basic, already spend alot of money, don't think should spend another bomb on curtains.

Has Anyone Bought From Hommage Trading Before?
MrsLoo replied to booksntoys's topic in Home Furnishings
Just went to Hommage last Sat. They have quite a few on display but more design from catalog, so once I have chosen the design, I will try out similar firmness of the cushion. I got a custom-made fabric L-shape sofa @$1450 and a single small armchair for my son @ $100 (special price because I bought the sofa) . My son want it and it really comfy, so I decided to take it. Eric and his wife not pushy type and can give good recommendation. -
Ya, so far I got 2 quotes both quoted ard $750 for MBR single layer full curtain and bedroom n living roller blinds. Been to Expo, was quoted $745 for 2 layers curtain and roller blinds price at $7/psf, they keep asking me to place a deposit and they will come on site for measurement, the quotation will revise based on site measurement. Anyone encountered before? Or should I wait till my renovation completed then asked them to come for site measurement and quote on the spot. I just feel that it is to our disadvantage if we place deposit first n later they can just give any reason to mark up.

If the tiles are flat on the wall then I think should be level and in line. Mine only abit off at the corner, the connection between two wall at the 90 right angle, I told my contractor that I can feel the sharp edge of the tiles, he said later they will sand all the corners to make it smooth. I think you should ask your ID to convince you that it is perfectly fine for such workmanship.

Realized there is a beam at the right hand corner, which means my son's bed frame can't lean against the wall. No choice but to ask my contractor to do a custom-made 2m cabinet and a box up behind the headboard. Monday still arguing with hubby on which cabinets to buy from IKEA, now good loh both no need to fight. Let the contractor settle. But, I can feel that my pocket is shrinking a little every time we went to the site.

L-Box & false ceiling are up in the living room

Anyone bought from H.M. curtain? For a 3 room flat, I was quoted $1800 for 1 set of full drop curtain for MBR, 1 set of roman blind for bedroom n living room. They recommended rainbow blind at $600. I really got a shocked or this is market price?

You are really good neighbors, still going to every house to notify your neighbors. Hehe, I thought that's the job of my contractor so I did not go n say hello to my neighbors.
-
Congrats to your new home. But seriously I think no matter how simple you want, 15K budget is very tight, unless you are keeping most of the original fittings like W/C, basins, doors, tiles etc.

You can choose either Lian Sin Heng or Hafary. To me both are the same but because I went to LSH first and spent a long time there, so we took their tiles eventually. Unless you are ready to pay for good quality tiles, you might want to consider Rice. I went to Rice to see see look look, their tiles are nice but too heavy for my pockets.

OIC. hopefully the stools turn out well, because my colleague who bought his furniture from beds.sg before said their quality not that good but they will replace with a new piece. Guess what?? I just shopped at Luzerne again!! Spending another round of shopping, I hope weekends come soon so that I can resist the temptation of going in the shop again.

Plastering will still get cracks after some time. That is why this time round we opt out plastering the whole house and do wall tiles. My previous flat was done with whole house plastering, then after some time the cracks came out.

Just bought 3 bar stools from Beds.sg. Will deliver on 5th Jan 2013. The price is good as compare to those shops in IMM, I wonder how's their quality. Just keeping my finger crossed. Because my dining is my counter top so we will be having our meals with our legs dangling. Now, I start to worry if my son can get up himself.
