is it? later i go see yr one got smaller anot. but u noe for our estate, there's another type of windows which are longer in height. so nice, can do bay seats lor! but those units with such windows have odd shape rooms though (did view one such unit when i was shopping for the flat), not fully square one. then i think there's another layout where all the room windows are adjacent one (our one currently, the mbr windows located inner) and they have a side window (which means the innest room have 2 walls that have windows). i observe from outside la, don't know from inside how it looks like. i like more windows, make the place looks brighter and cheery. but then again, i got afternoon sun which makes my place super hot so got to get very solid curtains to block it out = more expensive also. sighs. VERY BROKE!

Looks brighter I guess with more windows but also because its mid afternoon when I took this la. Opposite view from the other bedroom. Standing from MBR looking out to the living. After wall is hacked, the doorway of MBR is moved to the front as per make good floor markings. So messy and dusty!

i hacked one bedroom away to enlarge my mbr so that i can fit in a mini living and study rm into 1 room. got ppl say value will dropped but i went and did it anyways as i intend to live there a long time. so unless u r just gg to stay there for 5 yrs to sell at a profit then hacking may not be a good idea. but if u intend to do up the place nicely and stay for long time, can hack lor. when u sell, perhaps can look for like-minded new owners so its all abt fate and luck. hence to hack or not to hack, it depends on yr objective really.

there are 3 units to the left and right of the lift. i'm the one in the centre. the distance between the 3 main doors of the units are almost side by side as its something like point blk, no corridor unit one. so need anot har? this pic is taken from the lift, my unit is the one u can see door open. there is one unit on the left and right of mine:

All the pictures are outdated ones. Just got time to post stuff up. Hee.. Wednesday going to install sanitary and painting. Then after then waiting for carpentry liao. I no time to go choose my tiles, sanitary, colours etc so that delayed the works some. My ID was so stressed for me coz he says I'm delaying his schedule. Then I say I also don't mind, why you so stressed then he say he got his own principle one, must finish all his work max max 8 weeks. Hahaha... Excited for you! So yr handover next wk? ________________________________________ Sand and tiles delivered. Start of renovation. ID starting in the corner talking to the workers. The bangala is pasting the notice of renovation. Tiles laid. The untiled area is for my platform. I love my tiles! Toilet glass shower screen removed for re-used.

i think the duration depends on the amt of work you are doing.. i know my id can rush one out within 2 wks for his client as the client had no place to move and old place sold.. hence it also depends on hw you negotiate to fit into the id/contractor schedule.. but coz i told him no rush for mine (i love staying at my parent's place - free minder for son, got maid, free parking, home cook food) and the longer the better so it has been 4 weeks and counting, haha.. my reno including electrical is abt $50K, not including sanitary, appliances or furniture coz i'm doing up the whole place and lots of carpentry, false ceilings in all rooms.. trying hard not to tink about it.. in fact, i tink hdb owns my house and ntuc income owns my renovation! haha.. bills are coming in hard and fast now that i'm into the final stages of renovation.. good luck on yrs!!

Have not been logging in regularly to update as my place is in shambles and i hate all the dust! Haha.. So left it to the ID and hubby to go settle it. Nevertheless, I've contributed my part in shopping for sanitary, lights etc. As long as it don't involve me going up to the new place and seeing half-dressed men with a cigarrette butt on their lips sawing stuffs.. Need to buy the lights by tomorrow today, monday as I think the ID wants to install it on Wednesday with the sanitary. But hubby is not free. Don't know how. But did see some nice ones when I confirmed my sanitary at Lookz. And talking about that still makes my heartache as the total cost was $4K (plus the hob, hood, oven, heater). i tink cellini sofa looks good and have affordable price.. saw a cream with stripe on display at the furniture mall showroom n really nice.. but did not buy as their sofa sizes doesn't fit.. got mine from OM.. L-shape (put the 3 seater in living n adjoining day couch in mbr).. after e discount my id got its almost $2k.. if not u can try sungei kadut those factories (brighton, aero etc) as well.. they manufacture for courts or those big retailers one i think..

Hi all, Wld like to ask what is usually the total sanitary costs? At the stage to confirm my sanitary choices. Very headache. Been to Sim Siang Choon, Asian Excel Marketing, Genova but did not see anything nice at all. End up, with a friend's recommendation (she just finish her renovation for her Redhill 4-rm - spent about $2000+ on sanitary), went to Lookz to take a look. Was almost giving up hope but manage to really see designs that I like. But after adding all up (WCs, kitchen/toilet sinks, kitchen/toilet taps, shower sets, heater, kitchen/toilet accessories), it costs me $3000. Is this amount too much to spend? Appreciate yr comments. I'm looking at simple designs (like squarish with twist and turn handles). But the simpler it is, its always the more expensive. Sighs, very exasperating. !! how. Thanks, Linda

thinking of buying MRCU46 in SS.. Courts selling for $1299.. Havent find time to go Kong Tai and asked yet.. Friend is using it, says quite good.. I liked it as: - automatic ice-maker - freezer is at the bottom instead of usual top as i open e cooler compartment more than freezer so like the cooler to be on top instead hope can buy it below $1K..
