Main Gate Painted White with Steel Design~~~~ (thumbs up to Roy!) Hihi...i didn't know the main wooden door can be painted white. What kind of paint is use? How much does it cost to paint the door?

Carpentry Laminate I tried to find those laminate with wood grains, and the colour tone which is similiar to my flooring. This is the initial laminate i choose, but was out of stock Got this from the laminate website. Think back i'm glad it's out of stock as this laminate doesn't shows the wood grains though the colour matches the flooring So i selected this laminate instead. From the sample you can't see the wooden grains. But from the website, you can see partial of it. The carpenter called me after he received the laminate as he wanted to show me the actual big piece before he start work. He was concern that the actual big piece of laminate might not turn out to be what i expected, as from catalogue we can only see a small sample of the laminate, not the actual whole piece. As the laminate i choose comes with wooden grains, he wants to ensure that i get to see the "lines" and "colours". This is how the actual piece look like I'm glad this laminate turns out to be fine. If not, i dun know what other laminates to choose already...

Hmmm... the floor area is the same if i were to do for my whole house too...maybe is the laminate pricing bah...

Oh i see...my 3 bedroom laminate cost about $2100 so ya the pricing of the carpet not too far from the flooring laminate price

I got it for $200 for the fan the light kit is $140 it's 48 inch fan . Got them from A lighting at geylang. Can look for Alex he's knowledgeable and can provide good advice .

Which means u would need a big carpet to cover the whole of mbr ? It's quite a interesting idea but not sure about maintenance wise as in u wouldn't be able to remove the whole carpet to clean since your bed would be on top of it? Colour wise i personally feel thAt the bedroom laminate is darker than the living room tiles. I actually prefer lighter tone for bedroom but could not find one which the colour is close to the lliving room tiles . So in the end could only find one whereby the design of the wooden grains is close to the living room. One glance at the passage way to the bedroom can tell the difference in colour tone but with similar wood grains.

Okay then mine should be homogeneous tiles base on your description as it's 90 degree angled. Thought for outdoor it's better to choose a rough surface .

Opps...to clarify I got those tiles that's a bit rough surface so maybe it's ceremic instead of homogeneous...hopefully wouldn't be that slippery...but still...thanks for highlighting...by the way, which part of punggol u from?

Yup using homogeneous tiles... thought it would be easier to clean ...

Hi, I done tiles for my balcony. You can refer to earlier pictures. Now I'm thinking if I should have done timber strip since my whole house flooring is wooden Initially didn't have this idea cause thought the balcony is too small wouldn't look nice with the timber strip Have you check out the cost for timber strip? Our balcony is very small. You plan to do laminate flooring for the whole house including the living room?
