Hihi, I bought a franke stainless steel. Single hole. Hubby and I didn't like a double and prefers one bigger hole instead. We wanted a BIG sink like 800mm kind, but ended up ID only could give us ard 600mm max talk abt HDB pigeon holes.. Haha.. Our sink search took quite awhile cos of the limitation in size, single hole, and hb wanted the flow to b at a corner instead of in the middle. Finally found franke n bought it at $170 (I think). Have u thought of not doing under mount? Heard horrible stories on it thus I chose tabletop. Though hb says he often can a stainless steel sink get damaged??

hmm normal aluminium window grilles or invisible grilles? i have both types in my home.. aluminium ones for the service yard while living room & bedrooms are invisible ones. only aluminium ones are up together with 3 panels of windows and a casement. invisible one will be up next tuesday (cant wait! last stage of reno-ing now ) i got the aluminium grilles done by Doorking (contact Jovial 96815598). get a few quotes and bargain his price to match the lowest one. thats what i did all the doors in my house also done by him but i wouldnt recommend him for doors (workmanship not gd) but grilles are good.

2nd draft came after some time.. delays and delays (on my part as well as ID's) living room with white wallpaper Note: Texture of the wallpaper cannot be seen clearly in this 3D.. doesnt do any justice to the actual wallpaper [url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/33652132@N00/7320773666/'> MBR Can't spare the other room as WIW, but to compensate, i have a big wardrobe so no complaints! and of course.. my black kitchen! ID tempted me by adding mirror to the wall next to my kitchen. sigh.

the first contractor we met is one that is pretty popular in this forum. very straight forward and prompt guy.. didnt really have the "chemistry" with him and there were parts whereby he told us that he cant do, but other contractors mentioned it can be done. thus we didnt really felt persuaded by him to sign with him. then subsequently we met up with a few more.. and finally, met up with our ID. young and creative guy, lotsa ideas and could talk like a fren. most imptly, he gave us 3D to illustrate on what he proposed to us for my MBR, kitchen, MBR toilet and living hall. initially he mentioned only 1 free 3D drawing during quotation stage, but he drew all for us.. so we were kinda "WOW" by it. and we love his designs. here's the first draft 3D: shoe cabinets living room kitchen MBR MBR toilet Verdict after first draft: - found the living hall too dark.. so, we will change the wallpaper to a lighter tone to brighten up our living hall. - didnt really like the way the wallpaper is run on the MBR wardrobe. prefer a horizontal line across the whole wardrobe with the darker tone of wallpaper - still prefer a BLACK kitchen!

Hi all, realised that i found out about this forum a tad too late cos' reno is already ongoing, and almost everything purchased. Nonetheless, think it'll be nice to share and keep this as memory keepsake purposes Balloted our flat in 2007, and finally got the keys in dec 2011. that's a 4 yrs wait! but we were in a hurry to shift, so took our time to source around, looking for ideas and quotation from ID/contractors. Met a few contractors and only 1 ID, and immediately we realised the differences between ID and contractors.. ID is proactive, proposed alot of ideas and how to maximise space, and to enhance the theme we wanted for our place. So, we decided to go with him even though he quoted a significant higher amount than the rest.. but at least he is negotiable, and willing to give discounts here and there for us. Here's my floorplan: basically we wanted a cosy and comfy theme, no bright and loud colours (except for my girl's room) and must have sufficient storage space for us (i love shopping!!!) it's a MUST for hubby to have cove lights as he loves the feel of it.. so definitely we need false ceiling. everywhere in the hse, hb just said "there must be lights here.. and here.. and here... and here.." for me, i'm more particular about the kitchen, which is also the most headache part to us as it is so small! cant even fit in all our electrical appliances and cabinets that we wanted

hi all, not sure if this post is correctly post here. i engaged an ID, based on recommendation from a fren (who has 2 other frens who engaged this ID previously and has 0% complaints abt him). we met up with several contractors and finally decided on this ID instead becos he "wows" us over his creativity and really maximizes the limited space we have at home. everything was smooth going, though very slow, as it took us very long to confirm and decide with him on what we actually really wanted. abt 2 months later, we are ready to start our reno after all the 3D drawings, colours, materials, laminates and all are confirmed. it started with hacking of the kitchen wall, then it took almost 2 weeks for the electrician to come and settle the electrical works. this electrician is not from his ID firm, an external recommendation from him (his quote did not include electrical works, which was brought to our attention before we sign with him). he told me this electrician is very busy cos' he is cheap. so 2 weeks later, the electrician came with 2 guys and all works completed in 1 day. then came another week of doing NOTHING.. just waiting (for i dont know what). then painting of the house started, and was completed in 1 day. touchup required, which ID says will be done only after carpentry is up. then we waited.. and waited.. for another week. in this week, only 1 thing was semi-done, which is installation of the water heater from citygas. in fact, the work was done by citygas (coordinated by him) and not the ID! shower screen and carpentry was supposed to be up this week, but i see nothing being done. everyday i chase, and i call, and i send sms.. till now, he refused to pick my calls!! sigh. he said will call me bk, i waited till neck long also never call. i'm seriously upset by this whole saga, and just hope he'll finish my reno asap. handover date already delayed by 2 weeks further, and i really dont know what to do with him!!! but good thing is, i only paid a tiny sum of the whole reno. he hasnt really gone after me for the payment too. (was supposed to pay up nx week another 40%, but i decided to hold bk till i see proper progress of the reno). i think probably biz too good that he bo chup? is there anything i can do to make him seriously get down and be prompt in my reno?
