For me opposite, the study is my Hubby's world.. I'm more a living room person, as I like to multi-task (watch tv + eat dinner + surf net ). But Hubby need to be shut in one.. single-tasker.

You might want to try boiling with another kettle.. to see if it's the water problem or the kettle problem. I'm also using the electric boiler, so far no problem leh.. If it's the problem with the water, (After trying with another kettle) then you can give town council a call..

Yay! Our reno had officially started with 3 "kok kok kok" in the direction as instructed by Master Gan. We had a little freak out to kick-start our reno.. We were having lunch @ our new house while waiting for the workers to arrived when we experienced the 1st earthquake of our life! Initially, I found the dining table shaking, and thought it's my low blood acting up.. but hubby exclaimed that the whole building is shaking! We faster run out of the house lor.. haha Well, on the reno part... So happy to see the old things falling apart Todays, majority of the works are hacking.. The service balcony door, my common toilet's new entrence, the kitchen cabinet & my MBR's vanity top.. all have to go! I hope the bagalas dun tear down my MBR door.. As I'm using it back.. Tomorrow will be the air-con works. ID had planned in such a way that minimise the appearance of the piping.. Anxious to see the result. Tomorrow, the 2nd-hand furniture shop people are coming too. To inspect & give us a quote on the old furniture that the seller leave behind. Cos all the furniture is made of solid wood, it's very wasteful to throw it away. Hopefully it'll fetch a good price, as it's a whole house furniture.. Maybe get enough to pay for my 3m-long string curtain?

Cost added again! Initally, Hubby's friend's electrical guy quote us $700 to do all the electrical stuff.. Now, after viewing our house, say need to change alot. So quoting us $1000+!! Now getting another guy for quote... Dunno in time or not... Anyway, on the FS matters.. Master Gan had came & see.. Mostly no problems ba, except for the kitchen, where the stove face the basin.. cannot. And my kitchen CANNOT BE RED! White & Green was given for the kitchen cabinet. And I have no choice but to take white. (Green kitchen? No way! Mine is modern leh.. not retro.. ) and the basin still have to discuss with ID to see how to fix it.. MBR colours was changed from fuchia to purple, study room colours was change to blue... The rest (thank god) remains unchange... Only the start, so problematic.. Hope everything will be smoothen out once the hacking starts

Initially I'm not agreeable, but my Hubby said.. You spend so much to get his service, then trust him.. (or test him). If you still have to do everything yourself, then might as well get a contractor.. Oh.. you are only moving in after customary.. hmm.. me also haven't go through customary also.. But me moving in first. ALOT.. cos it fits the modern theme ma. And the price affordable... fierce meh? I always find the black + red combo very classy... Manage to psycho my hubby into thinking so too.. Cos we have a common point, we dun like contemporary look... So only resort (he like) and modern (I like).. But after viewing a few resort showcase, he agree with modern! Mine is grey.. I used it as a connecting point between the black and red lor.. Ya.. that's very true... In fact, initially we were met with alot of objections from Hubby's parents when we tell them our theme is red + black. guess they were not accustom to having such bold colours house.. Luckily, both of us feel our feeling should get priority, since we are staying there.

Finally solve my FSM problem.. Decided to use Master Gan after couldn't get Christine. So far so good, he's very helpful.. He'll be coming this Sunday to see my house, so far, he has given a nod to start reno work on 6th! Time to start throwing those old furniture le.. FIL coming to help us take back the TV + our two precious bean bags. The rest (cheap stuff frm IKEA) we'll be keeping them in the storeroom until the reno complete.. I think nobody will take ba.. So far, status being.. ID had liase with the electrical guy.. On where the point is, where to put what & stuff.. WITHOUT ME. then say everything settled, the guy will know what to do.. Give the trust, let's see how it turn out.. I feel so unease... The ID chase me whole day to try to fix the air-con piping date. i dunno anything on that. One side, air-con guy said the piping is best done after the electrical work done, but ID said wanna do the same time. Finally, ID said to give him the contact of the air-con guy, they will liase themselves. AGAIN... WITHOUT ME involved... unease double liao.. !!

I think it's better to use the cleansing oil with the washing powder.. Cos they compliment each other. In fact, I dun quite agree with mixing the brands. esp fancl, cos of the ingredients used for every brands is different, crash or not you also dunno ma... That's why me very keen to switch totally to fancl. My toner & moisturiser now is still loreal (50% switch only ) My skin has gotten lighter & more radient after using their oil + powder combi.. I today jus went to get samples for the toner + milk lotion. so excited! If the effect good, i'm getting that too...

I think all new estate is quiet at night de ba.. Cos in old estate, there's convenient shop (mama shop) at the void deck, and aunties uncles will gather there to talk. New estate dun have, some more most doors are closed. Of cos quiet lah... But for me, i feel as long as we walk the stone path it's quite ok lah.
