  1. It's also from Mr. K... Think it was abt 12k (including cement screed) for living/ dining area, corridor and 3 bedrooms. We already had the flooring guy come back once to repair holes that we created. And due to the recent extreme weather, some parts of it shifted and cracked. Very heartache... But the floor is really so beautiful... Every piece is different and I can just look at them the whole day...
  2. For The Grumpy Old Man His bones lay horizontal while mine lay vertical. Enough said.
  3. TaaaaaaDaaaaaa Sorry for the disappearance... Wanted to stop blogging coz I was starting to feel a little weird that I'm "opening" my home to strangers. It was like a sudden awakening when The Hubby was pointing out, while standing at the window looking at the view which we hardly have the chance to enjoy, that a particular home's renovation looked special and I immediately said, "oh! I know that home... It's on renotalk!" , and then went on to blabber about it. BUT! I also feel as if I've not completed what I started... So yup! Let's get going!!! I finally put the clock where I think is most suitable.... We have been staying in our new home for about 4 months... Will try to blog later about the hits and misses in our reno choices made. All the PMs have been sent to fellow home owners...
  4. Hmm.. I saw on another tblog that he bought this for $280 at some shop in Balestial (I think). That was a couple of years back. I got this from Ah Zhuan... Think was $300+...
  5. The corner turning is also from ikea and your hubby fixed it ah? Casa windows so problematic... ;p
  6. hey babe! how does your curtain rods look like? Can you please share where and how much you got it too? Thanks!
  7. Sorry Sorry *rubs hands* Very sorry for the disappearance... been really busy with the moving in and getting everything back into the shelves (and I am not even done yet!) Princessathene, I just PM'd you again. As mentioned, the magic corner works like this... 1. Both sides of the baskets are inside the cabinet. Pull out the left side. 2. Pull out the left basket all the way to the front and push to the side. 3. Pull out the right basket. After using it for a week, I think it works really well as I am using this to hold all my pots, pans and woks. If you intend to use this to put some items that you do not want to spill over (e.g. tibits), I think those with deeper baskets will be better. =)
  8. Selling off LEDs C4 pendant lights Hi guys, Sigh... The Hubby and I feel the LEDs C4 (La Creu range) pendant lights are a little da-match for our living/ dining room. These lights are from Spain and feels much more solid! Almost brand new coz we haven't even moved in yet... There is also no provision for power beside our bed so can't mount them up by the bed side. Bought at about $200 each from Chan Huat. Selling them off now at $150 each (3 pieces available). Any other offers will be considered. ÜÜÜ Some inspiration from the LEDs C4 website... Good for open kitchen counter area...
  9. Nice chairs from Oddyssey! arh... if only The Hubby is into vintage stuff as well... Yup... I think prices for vintage stuff really depends on the condition... Those new old stocks are so expensive!!! I have another Diamond Clock which my brother gave me 4-5 years back... Love the red colour but the metal rims is not in such good condition... need to find some time to get it refurbished.
  10. gal... As I read your post, really feel so sad for you leh... I think for the door, if it's naytoh wood, I think cannot be so jalat. Ask the contractor to change or source for your own and dont pay him!
  11. Nicely done! Love the mirror in the living room!!! hmm... did the FSM explain why must have window ah? I'm moving in soon too... and contractor says to do the rectifications slowly as we move along... You paid the balance liao ah?
  12. thanks a lot, gal! I'm loving my small kitchen too... the solid surface and back splash are all up. Will take some pics of the magic corner in action and show you later ya... PM'd you for Mr. K's contacts and total reno cost. As for the aircon model, I need to go back and confirm...
  13. You engaged them before? The website looks pro leh... hahaa...
  14. hahahaa.... I super heart this clock too. I got it from David (FB search for David Wee or Wee's Collection) at $280. My brother says it's a little expensive though but full numbered Diamond clocks are rare these days... David has a new piece; a mini version at 7 inches diameter (the usual ones are 12 inches) for sale now... very cute! And this one... my super favorite but not for sale...
  15. Selling off LEDs C4 pendant lights Hi guys, Sigh... The Hubby and I feel the LEDs C4 (La Creu range) pendant lights are a little da-match for our living/ dining room. 16. You bro! Glad to see your blog here! Look forward to seeing your reno pics! Ü
  17. Nice chairs and sofa! May I know where you saw them and their prices if u recall? Thanks!!
  18. Skin Specially delicated to Bleucheeze... The texture of the laminate is quite rough de... Paisley for the poor pic... Best I can manage with the iPhone le... Heez... As for the laminate code it's SU794U. I think it's from Admiral or something...
  19. Golden Brown The floor is done. Love the golden brown colour... I wish I have chosen white laminates instead... Maybe change the laminates a few years down the road when the boys are bigger? Now comes the problem... Full height windows in the living room. I want to use white blinds for this but was quoted almost $1.5k for the blinds alone... Is this the normal rate for about 5.5m of these blinds? Or anyone has other suggestions for the windows? Thank you!
  20. Thanks babe! Hope everything is working out for you! And I bought my sofa le! 3-seater full leather piece.
  21. So coincidental! If only Toto also like that then HUAT ah!! (The Hubby also came back with, "but you don't even buy! How to HUAT AH??" ) A Thousand Tales is now called White Space Living. The Hubby doesn't like/ appreciate vintage items leh... We were at a shop in Tan Boon Liat building and I can see his face changed when the salesperson said the furniture are made using recycled teak wood from some railway. ;p The grey sofa is from Sal Sal in IFC. It's fabric and the high back piece (top up $350)will cost slightly less than 2k... Can't recall the exact number leh... I think there's slight discounts but not massive leh... When are you starting your reno? remember I saw ur tblog somewhere... The coffee table looks familiar! Hahaaaa... Nice piece!
  22. Serious??? Did you take pics? Hmm... Fabric ah? Got the price tag I want anot? Hahhahaaaa.... Last night, The Hubby said," Dear, just get what you want bah... Looking at it, there's no way we'll compromise on this... As long as you are happy... " And today, he went on reservist. Hmm... Just get a leather sofa bah... And maybe an armchair for me?
