Change Main Door
LemonTea replied to LinDa's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
hi....actually you can just go to hdb website and drop them an email they will assign the respective officer to check your building layout and advise accordingly. This is what i did for my plc luckily no need fire-rated door. True fire-rated door very ex but you need only half hour. -
Copper oxidizes very fast and enhances bacteria growth. For SS the elbow or union should use Brass materials this will prevent the 2 pc metal to be melted together in the long run. Also once SS tread has been 'locked' for some time it is very hard removing and resulted demaging it so becareful when disconnecting. For SS higher quality you can use ASME 269 316L EP tubing but i don't think pple will use it for homes prices are ex and not commonly available in the market. These grade are used in chemical industrial. For plastic, the best material should be PVDF/PFA, a kind of plastic. It is retardent to acid and solvents eletment (Ca,Zinc in our water etc). This material is use for dionize water.

Chrome products will oxidized and rust eventually after the outer layer of protection is damaged. For SS it will not rust be oxidation will takes place. It will looked rusty but it can be polished away however be reminded the layer of protection, nickel will reduce and tends to increase the oxidation process. For owners leaving near the sea, SS will corrode. As Salt in its own state is acidic. Mixing acid with moisture and air it will corrode the SS. It is possible to prevent this only by getting marine grade SS which is defintely very expensive. Not currently used in any household products only for commercial so far. Another way to reduce the effect of rusting is by Hot dip galvanized process, this will prolong the lifespan of the products from getting corrosion. Another way you can try getting it anodized. A process quite similiar to electroplating also the layer of protection must not be scratched or damaged.

Hi andrew, the wall in between the top and bottom cabinet whereby you put your SS backing. I did not install tiles nor the SS backing but i put up painted glass on this side of the wall. Any oil stained etc can be easily cleaned using a soft material cloth.

Hi apple, i also did plastering for my kitchen wall. But make sure you use chemical mixed with cement the layer thickness would be roughly about 0.5mm only so not much diff. Than afterthat paint it with sealer before applying emulsion paint. So far it looks okay no cracks maybe it's noly 1month old. For me the cabinet side do not have tiles also but im putting painted glass on the open area looked more modern and also easy to wipe with soft cloth.

Marine fishes is not hard to keep but can be of more maintenance comparing to freshwater fishes....as local ecosystem do not have the capability to reproduce the type of minerals they needed it's much more difficult to keep certain kind of fishes and corals. Temperature is also the main issue, anything higher than 30 c most of the fishes will have respiratory problem hence they get sick or die eventually. As for keeping corals it is advisable to get a chiller which will cost quite abit depending on what brand. For newbie can try keeping damsel fishes or clown fishes. Do not keep Angles coz they are not hardy fishes. Anybody interested to take my 4ft tank but cabinet needs recondition thou?
