i did my overlaying of toilet floor tiles at just slightly over 1k for 2 toilets. and workmanship is good. yours consider small job, no need to go to extend to get ID to do it. Normal contractor can le. =)

Actually i really dont understand how some people think. Run away with a sum of small money and thinkg that they can get away with it? they are real short term mindset people who simply got no EQ and IQ. Already got the project and got the job le. Its already $ in the bag. Why need to run away? just do the job and earn it la!? haiz...

ask for other contractor to quote u for painting . Why go all the trouble to do all yourself. Since u already spent that amt on reno.can bargain with ID or get another contractor to painf for u. your time is also $$$..

Just to clarify. If HDB toilet, we can only engage HDB certified/Registered contractor/renovator to do hacking and tiling work?

can an owner do that? if hdb i thought need a registered or certified renovator to carry out all these work? And they need to apply for permit for many jobs like hacking, tiling, waterproffig etci? correct me if i am wrong.

What is the rate now? if were to paint 4rooms? Is it normal to be more expensive if i just paint kitchen and 1-2 bedroom as compare to cover the whole house?

Well, alot of the so-called designers might not have good knowledges and alot of times come out with designs that is not practical or lead to maintenance problem. in the end, its really a matter of luck if u meet the right guy and give u the right price.
