  1. Took some pictures of incomplete kitchen ... still pending the lightings of counterbar to be installed and might getting more shelves, quite empty for current settings The whole kitchen : Close-up look of kompactop from counter bar : Angle from washer and dryer area : Close-up look of kompactop from microwave : Angle from the lovely clock :
  2. I didn't aware that the kompactop cannot sustain heat, will take note on this and have to inform the confinement nanny as well. From their website, this is the features of kompactop : KOMPACTOP is an extremely durable, waterproof, non-porous material, which made it the ideal solution for surfaces that are in constant contact with water and food. It also achieves a fire rating of CLASS 2 BS EN 476 Part 2 as per their FAQ. Just took some pics of the whole kitchen with kompactop, will share soon ...
  3. Whitewonderland, thanks ~ will post more after the lightings are up. The electrician still have no time to come to install them, we are going to hang 3 lightings at the counterbar. The salesperson is from Kompactop? From their website, the kompactop shall be able to handle for hot stuffs .. so far I didn't encounter any problems with the kompactop and normally we will put something under the hot stuff to protect the table top.
  4. Some pictures taken from iphone for the kitchen, the lightings haven't up .. so only took some corners : We also used kompactop for counter bar table top :
  5. Share some pics of bathroom first, photos are taken by iphone : For master bathroom Bought the standing shelf from Franc Franc, to store some bathroom stuffs : We used rainshower for master bathroom, no issue with city gas heater. Water flow was quite ok ... For common bathroom The cabinet below the basic was fabricated bigger than what I wanted, but it was also part of our fault of not telling the carpenter on the dimension we wanted. So at the end I decided not to have door to cover and instead let it be opened for better ventilation purpose.
  6. punggolmate, oh ya I just realized I didn't share any pics of our kitchen ... main reason was it still messy, husband just put all those pending items on the kitchen top and had no chance to clear them. So far have no issue on the kompactop and I will share the pics soon .. paiseh paiseh.
  7. Thanks ultimax, agreed ~ Below is the current floor mat we have for our settee, not long enough ... Planning to get something like this, MORUM Rug from Ikea .. length is 2m, have 2 colors to choose.
  8. RedSioux , Whitewonderland , chower .. you may click the last link of my signature to see the contacts of my contractor and carpenter, and also the reno cost .. thank you.
  9. Thanks Nexer ~ For those small pots, I bought them from taobao - a China website. For other small decor stuff, some were bought from JB, some from taobao, some from Japan, Italy etc.
  10. Sure and thanks ~ will ask the door people to make the door slightly shorter. But not sure if the brush strip will affect the floor mat .. Coz floor map was quite light, it may move together with the brush strip.
  11. Bought these 3 little pots online, all the animal zodiac actually represent three of us – husband, our new baby girl (not yet born) and myself. Me and my husband were January babies and hopefully our little baby girl Zaanse will be a January baby as well. Bought many little small houses to put on the shelves above the TV console. Updated more photos in my blog ~
  12. Example of what I plan to have for the entrance .. long floor mat from entrance.
  13. ultimax, thanks for your comments ... our shoe cabinet was just opposite to the entrance main door, i.e. just beside the settee. You are right with the floor mat, it cannot fit under the door. Husband wanted to change the main door, he didn't like the existing white main door. We will go down to one of the door showroom this weekend and hopefully can find the door we like. As for temporary solution, was to take out the shoes before enter the house .. We already have a floor map under the settee, just that the floor map was not long enough to reach the entrance. Long term plan was to change the door which can fit a long floor map, will diy a long floor map from door entrance to settee
  14. benauhc, thanks for your comments ~ The black and white blinds at my balcony was from previous owner, so we also not sure where they bought them .. We have one similar in our playroom and we got it customized from JB curtain shop called Middle Curtain. Total price of our curtains in balcony and master bedroom and timber blind in playroom was RM2.6k.
  15. Thanks Cuskel, have just PMed you ah thong, ah huat, Alan and Mr K contacts ...
  16. bleucheeze, the settee was bought from King and King Wang .. cost one hundreds plus. You are right, the door cannot be close if put a long door mat. So we planned to change the door as my husband didn't like the current door, he said it was the original door and might be used for quite long time already. Currently we put a long mat parallel to and underneath the settee but it was not long enough to the door entrance .. so guess we need to change to longer floor map and change the wood door. crypaz, agreed with you ... Wonder where to find a long floor mat, those selling at Ikea one was not long enough. Might need to diy a floor mat .. hmm.
  17. Got some issue with the entrance ... We thought of wearing or changing the shoes sitting on the settee, but there is a distance between the settee and door entrance. Husband said need to put another floor mat which I think it will look ugly to have 2 floor mats. Or buying a long floor mat from entrance to settee, it will look ugly to me too ... Any ideas to share?
  18. Thanks jasdy, I got them during Franc Franc promotion .. have bought total 4 storage books. Below is the picture of what were stored inside, all different books will put different things which required easier to access to.
  19. Thanks owyy .. as most of the things haven't unpacked, I just anyhow put those decor stuffs. Planned to do a better one during my maternity (not sure if have time ) ..
  20. We placed some books storage bought from Franc Franc. These books actually are made by wood and can store things inside .. Planned to put stuffs that often need to use, e.g. nail cutter, tapes .. This was another item I bought online - the clock, I choose the better quality one .. so ended up also not really cheaper than what are selling in Singapore.
  21. Can try "樹球" for the plants I bought ~
  22. Hi ultimax, I got them from a online portal called taobao .. There are many suppliers selling these kinds of plants, I normally choose those with good reviews
  23. Never think about this .. may be can try when next time I visited their store. So far I quite like their products, just that didn't realize their wood quality is not that good. Quite happy with the carpenter we engaged, we actually engaged him before engaged our contractor. Although the carpentry works are not 100% perfect, e.g. horizontal balance .. but we are fine with all these. I have just PMed you the carpenter company name and contact ~
  24. Think is something like chip woods, the table cost 596.02 after discount... Heard from my colleague, Franc Franc still selling it inside their store. The design looked good to me, but didn't realize the quality was not good. Yeah, white will get dirty easily, but white color table top looked very nice. I saw one white color table top with wooden legs in Star Living furniture shop, looked very nice ... I have ordered a zakka style table clothes online, but haven't delivered to singapore .. hope it will match well with the table. Will think about this option, may be just paint with a transparent wood paints to protect the table.
  25. crypaz / bleucheeze, disappointed with the table quality. The table top will pop-up when there is water on it, i.e. have to remove water quickly else the wood will pop-up. So we planned to ask someone help to customize a glass top to put on top of the table or temporary use a table clothes first. I believed this table was not made by solid wood ..
