Going to upload his pictures in all major website..Renotalk, Hardware zone, Car forum, makansutra etc etc so the whole Singapore can see his face for all the pain that he caused you poor guys - The power of media cannot be underestimate.... I also suggest you upload his picture on the facebook BL on contractors which can create greater awareness... What goes around comes around....

Just my views. These professional "cheaters" sometimes can ask someone to front it while they still be pulling the strings behind the scene after collecting the renovation deposits and had the job 1/2 done or run away / closed shop. Such is lucrative scammer when they collect between $20K ~ $40K deposit per household contract -> can you imagine if they secured 10 ~ 20 contracts during short period of time?? This is equivalent to S$200 ~ S$400K per scam job well executed with then they disappeared a period of time and afterwards re-surface in the market after everything has died down. Best to published his picture to warn everyone here so at least can create public awareness and due diligence. This is unless this fraudster going to do a complete plastic surgery to change his outlook which we doubt. Another way is to have this IC number known and do a check against company registry on ROC & his official registered home address just to be careful but again, the fraudster can ask someone to front it on company registration. Everyone just beware on this scam on the harsh lesson learnt from poor angrybirds which we all sympathized...

Hi Angrybirds, We hate all these unethical and highly unprofessional contractors who is out to con and suck people hard earned $$. I hope you have seek legal advice to address this and have him legally apprehend so he can stop cheating people $$ to help the rest. Suggest also to cut and paste his picture and set up some facebook website on such crooks to deter errand contractors from repeating their scam. I"m appalled to learn about this guy you mentioned and have some information for you in the PM which I hope is useful for your findings....

Dear Lauer, Thanks replying. I have basic space planning layout, number of rooms, levels, attic etc about how my house should be re-construct so I"m more particular about builder workmanship, their team, reputation, reliability and the quality of finishing they deliver end of the day.

Hi Guys, Read alot and getting informations from all your great contribution in planning my reconstruction / rebuild of my terrace house soon. I prefer good quality workmanship builder without my having to check on them due to my current workload. I spoke / shortlisted below builder contractor and wonder if you guys have use / work with them before to perhaps give me your valuable input for my consideration in final award decision?? - Kim Builder - Bungalow Builder - Meridien Builder - Nic & Wes - SL Goh - Toh Chye Hock Or if anyone feel it's a little sensitive, I deeply appreciate if can PM me as I fully appreciate everyone input or experiences as didnt want to go with a wrong builder for the next 1yrs of construction work giving me headaches and heartbreak. Lastly, if you have used/heard any good reputable builder or architect, please also PM me as I think architect is pretty good in coming out with some great layout as I"m thinking to maximize my living space which is quite a challenge for 2000ft plot. Hi hi, Just to clarify for XMSL you mean only "interior design" work for 12K fee separately? What it covers generally for this cost? I assumed not covering the materials ( which should be provided by your builder contract) and purely on XMSL ID drawn up plan / drawings etc for living / bedroom / kitchen / garden?? Have you use them and if their design up to your expectation and satisfaction?? I heard good reviews so thinking if to use them for ID only.... Please to hear your thoughts...

Hi Ladies / Guys, Good day. Need to say learn alot from reading all your valuable experiences and grateful for that. Planning to re-contruct / rebuild my Inter terrace in coming months and did alot of research + walk around looking others houses being rebuild and re-construct so have some ideas. Really love those "culture stones" in the exterior wall which no trouble finding suppliers here. However, I"m planning to have interior feature wall build up with "Quartz Blue Agate stones" in "culture stone uneven forms" what they used for exterior but checked around in Singapore and cannot find any after doing alot of research. Appreciate if anyone know any granite suppliers / tiles suppliers carry Blue Agate stones with stocks which I really keen to take a look?? Thank you.

In my opinion, alot of such tie up between "recommended" builder & property firm such as ERA..Propnex who refer clients and then get a cut of their commission thru agent. ( I maybe wrong) Property agent own interests who do not have the experiences from building houses and prefer to get hefty comm is definately no-no for me. For such, I will not get any reference from property agent on builders / architects and prefer to source and do own research or seek opinion from fellow forumners basis their experiences and reference. Above just my views....

Dear Chao Rui, I read about your thread and you gave very valuable input & advice on 18th Oct which is sometime back. It gave insightful glimpse of what to expect from very ignorant home owner like myself what to look out for and what to think about honestly. I believed the forumners very appreciate alot of you guys sharing when we intend to plan for A&A or complete rebuild. Recently bought a 20+ years singel intermediate terrace of 2006ft house and intend to demolish & complete rebuild next year. Did some findings & flipped through a couple of articles and reviews on local architect & builder. More recently, make an initial call to a quite "famous & popular" builder cum architect all in 1 ( if not wrong) to enquire about rough ballpark quote for complete rebuild cost so to get the sums ready. I was offered able to rebuild to 4500 ~ 5000ft 3.5 storey all depends for rough $850 ~ 900K all depending what I want / compromise / agreed. Can good soul experienced proud house owner recommend a good /reliable /trustworthy architect or builder that you guys can refer or PM me?? I just need a comparison on cost, workmanship, design ideas, experiences, reliability, etc to shortlist really good and trustworthy builders as dont like to run around like headless chickens. I also equally understand bang for bucks and need all of your guidance / references to possibly guide. Appreciate all of your help.
