Hi Jay, Just saw your post. Will pm you. Mike

Heyz, No worries about the clear glass panel. It is actually quite obvious and there is a mini handle too for you to slide but still making a pattern definitely to make it more prominent. cost more lo. Sandblast quite expensive... or try frosted glass film??? And you mean most of the time the kitchen will be 'closed' right? to prevent aircon leakage from living? Just ask your ID/contractor acid wash whole house ba. Should be able to remove the mould and stains. Cheers, Mike Cheers, Mike

Hi salad! Another fellow 3 roomer! Hahaz woo spray painting the whole toilet... hmmm not many are doing that now le eh... shld cost quite a bit right? Anywayz since you already paid the deposit so might as well just go ahead hor. But still would recommend the others to change the wall tiles... especially if they have been there for a long time already. And the haiku fan, quite a cheap deal you've got huh... i read somewhere in the forum the price now is like 900+... zzz hahaz Happy Renovation! Cheers , Mike

Noob Reporting In...

Hi vee, Welcome to Renotalk! Eh wellz Interior Designers helps you do the space planning, design functionality, recommends and gives advices, not to mention the adding of aesthetic values as well. If you really know what you want, then you can get a coordinator or supervisor to look after your reno job because the works require different contractors at different phase and planning of the schedule, which contractors to come in first, at what time, is a very critical job i would say. Especially when time is a key factor. But of cuz you can also opt to do everything ala carte or DIY... Oh the 3D drawings... you meant the artist impression right? Expensive la... for me. Have a smooth sailing renovation! Cheers , Mike -
Junmover, Did your ID had issues with the contractors? ... seemed like lots of undone work which needs rectification. And from the looks of the photos posted, your home is definitely not ready for living... yet. Lots of cleaning needed to be done and not to forget the barang barang from your previous home. Mike

AC5?! Erm it is usually for commercial use... Places with heavy traffic like public buildings and department stores. Not that you can't use it for your home but it might be too rough for our bare feet due to the course surface of the products under this rating. Cheers , Mike

Hi! Water resistant will be the correct word to use la. Most laminated flooring consists of 4 layers. The top most layer is called the wear layer. This layer yes, is water proof and wear resistant. The reason why I say water resistant is a better word to use is because the joint area between the laminated flooring is not water proof. If there is water spillage on the joint area, the water will seep through into the laminate if the spillage is not wiped off immediately:) There is also moisture in the air as well, that is why the vapor barrier is a must to make the laminated flooring last longer. So installation must be done the proper way. Hahaz Cheers , Mike

Hi ailusong, First of all, Welcome to Renotalk! eh... need the dimensions for your kitchen cabinet and wardrobe if not abit hard to quote la... and also the quote depends on the materials as well, like what countertop your contractor is using, type of laminate, whether accessories are included like soft closing, cutlery tray etc. Have a smooth sailing renovation. Cheers , Mike

Hi peeps, I see many of you asking about the prices of Blum mechanisms. me and my friend went down to the Blum showroom at Ubi a couple of weeks ago. A nice place showcasing the different Blum systems i would say. Got Blumotion la, spring and non-spring hinge la, Aventos system la, Orgaline la, Servo la bla bla... Many many. We even managed to get hold of the hardcopies of the latest brochures and had a guide brought us thru the showroom and explaining the different mechanism. A fruitful session no doubt. Got the pricelist too. If anyone want the pricelist you can download the pdf format from http://connect.blum.com/. You can download brochures there too. If you want you can pm me too. I can send to you via mail. Got time can go down to the showroom and take a look. Worthwhile la. Cheers everyone, Mike

Hmmm Vermilion, Quite a tight space you've got there huh. What casa said is right. You have to remove the supply line carefully. Without them you can definitely reach and tighten the tap, Of cuz 1 person is not enough. Need the other to hold on to the tap. And the correct tools... using the normal spanner not say cannot but very hard. The nut spanner you've shown on the first pic will be able to do the job. Hope you can solve the issue. Oh and try not to use the sealant. It's not gonna hold anything, it only prevents water from seeping thru. Last but not least... Maintenance very impt! We design, reno and lastly must maintain... Cheers, Mike
