i would suggest to find the source of leak. It could be the tap or the waster water trap.

Good paint with several colour costing 500 for 5 room HDB is very attractive for young house owner. ID or home fix will cost more than 1500. Another alternative is to get Bangala part time and may be asking for 500 but quality is not sure. Alone will almost be impossible unless you have been doing it all along but 3-4 will be great to finish within a day or two. I painted my first house and indeed ceiling was the worst and I completed within a day, yes it is 20 hours. I must agree it is good saving and good exercise. Taking 3 days leave to save 1000 is worth it in my case. You will need paint, painting kits, plastering kit. Good luck.

I am interested in the cabinet as well. Please PM me. I will DIY. In my opinion, the difficult part are the pipes (Water and Gas). Getting them ready in the required position by contractors will be best.

My existing house and last house all do not have tiles behind the cabinet to cut cost. I use Glass in between top and below cabinets. Very easy to clean.

My suggestion is to take few days off for a holiday while they finish the wet work. If not, choose laminate flooring and lay over. You should be ok to live in while doing capentary work. Good luck

Just some comments. Circular concave around the fan. I done this in my previous house and there is hardly any wind from the fan. LED light panel. It is rather expensive still. I think if you buy cheap LED strip and lay white perspex may have the same effect. I DIY my LED lightings in my current house. LED is energy saving but a lot from PL lights since they are already energy saving. LED is very directional and the spread is not as good. Hope this helps.

it can be Ballast for the fluorescent light or swithing IC that is giving you the problem. High chance is the IC problem which cost about S$10 or S$20 for remote version. Changing these will need some level of electrical knowledge and I do not suggest you do it. Good luck.
