A New Era In An Old Resale Flat (Super Budget)

Actually, I emphasis a lot on having meals together as a family. (old thinking ;p) So I prefer to have a proper dinning area that is free from distraction, where we can enjoy the meal together. On the other hand, we kind of expect that the in-law will come over to stay with us, sometime in the future, so we will keep the dinning room as it is now, and in future, convert it to a room when the need arise. We are trying to avoid hacking in our living and dinning room as we like the old ceramic floor tiles. Also, as we really hope to shift in soonest possible, by end June, so we tot it's best to keep to existing layout. -

We decided that the girls will share bedroom2, while we use bedroom3 as a study. The original idea was to custom build a study table along the wall, long enf to accommodate 3 pax. The girls will sit on either side and one of us will sit in the middle and be supervisor. Haha But, on consideration that our girls request to have own bedroom in future when they grow bigger, we decided to drop the idea of any build-in for the study, and opt for ready-made and moveable furniture instead. This also helps keep cost down. -
Half Of Sale Proceeds Go To New House

Hi Elaine, Maximum can only loan 2 times from HDB. Did u get special approval from HDB for the 3rd time loan? Else u need to go bank loan. Based on your inputs, ur first flat is new from HDB, then unsold it, buy resale, n now buying NEW HDB flat. You will need to pay Resale levy, based on your first unit ( unless u already paid it previously) When you apply for new flat, I believe you would also have the HLE approval in hand, for NEW flat right? That letter should be able to tell you ow much Resale levy u have to pay to HDB. For financial info, like how much is your loan amount to repay monthly, the HDB financial calculator will be able to provide u with the necessary info as long as you input your figures right. It's quite simple. Alternatively, you can go TPY and see the loan officer to clarify it. Good day -
Owner Want 2 Months More To Look For New Place

We paid Deposit and OTP in early jan, first appt on 20th march, and completion end may. It's abt 10weeks from first appt to completion. Our seller also ask for extension, but we are not comfortable to based on gentlement agreement, due to bad experience by my future hubby's side. But we allow late appt. I think we might be the record holder for the hse transaction to drag so long. Almost half a year Anyway, gentlement agreement in HDB POV is not legal. And if any damages arise from there, u are on your own as on completion, buyer already 'confirm' condition. Hope this helps -

Hi, U are buying NEW HDB flat 2nd time? If so, u need to pay resale levy. Not minimum sales proceed. For the resale levy, u can refer to the HDB website, for which period u sold your first new flat / or resale flat with grant. HDB calculator is the best tool to tell u an estimate based on your input. Of course, if u put in garbage, then u can't trust it. We bot a resale flat and pending for completion end of this month. We used the HDB calculator and the sum stated is quite accurate. -
Hi all, My first post in this forum We're waiting for our HDB completion in late May, bought a 5rm resale in AMK. We've confirmed 3D innovation for our home renovation, with most of the furniture designs decided. Now I'm quite confused over what i wanted for the living room balcony. I would love to have a swing chair to relax in, it sort remind me of how i used to play with blanket/drawers to make camp/hammock etc when i was young. The problem is, i dun like those rattan chair which is bulky and heavy. I saw some hammock chair selling on some US website, and really love the idea. something similar to the pic attached. Any thoughts or suggestion? Or anyone know where i can find this hammock chair in Singapore?
