After the reno headache from buying stuff etc, now comes the bodyache. It's a tiring but satisfying process where we finally have our own home. Really want to thank our ID Jimmy from 3D innovation for his effort and good work. From the start, our initial meeting with Jimmy, he had shown us confidently his existing project, without hesitation even when it's already late at night ard 11pm. We were very comfortable with him from the first meeting onwards. Moving along, we work towards our goal, while keeping our budget in mind. Out of the entire quotation, we did not encounter any 'hidden cost'. His quotation is more or less 100% accurate. Really glad that we had engaged Jimmy for this reno as we really wanted to make this home as perfect as possible. Haha, not sure if our ID read this blog, We want to say 'Thank You!' to you and your hardworking team for the good job done. -

Cos Audio House fly us aeroplane, We demanded them to do refund, and went to Courts AMK and get another set of TV. Got a 52' & 40' Sharp 3D LED TV. The 3D glasses that came with the 2 TV. We get 4 pairs in total. -
Audio house is now telling me they can only refund me partial of my payment $699, as our purchase was done separately at the expo sale on 27 May ($729) and at Liang court, $699 on 14 June. The remaining $729 has to wait for up to one month cos they need to manually process the refund as the amount was charged to my card using 'another machine'. Lol, this is really crap. Take money so fast, refund need 1 month?

Just received a call from Audio House regarding our order of 2 units of Panasonic TV that comes with free wall mounting, 7" tablet and HDMI cable. We have scheduled the delivery of the 2 Panasonic 42' LCD TV, Internet ready for tomorrow where we shift in, together with all new furniture and electrical goods on the same day. However, on the day before delivery, they call us up to inform no stock. And that they ask us to accept replacement of another Panasonic 40' LED TV with no free tablet and not Internet ready. We ordered the TV in end may, with full payment. Shouldnt they reserve stocks? Very bad experience with them. Leaving us no choice, expecting us to accept. Asked for refund and was told we need to personally go down and get our refund thru credit card. Waste our time n petrol. Will never consider buying from Audio House again.

Openet contractor working alongside with my contractor. Haha at first insist to do it his way, which makes our living room look messy with the trucking around all over. Then I kept saying 'No lah, Cannot lah' then I use their trucking to show them it can fit at the side of our main door. As our contractor is around, he also show them our preferred routing. End up they no choice they listen and do what we want. Kept borrowing tools from my contractor. Haha I end up have to ask my contractor did he take back all those borrowed tools. -
We went to premplus and they are one of the short listed firm for our Reno. The guy who attended to us, a young chap, by far, is someone who do cater to our needs by asking us, and listen to what we had in mind and can visualize our new home, based on floor plan. The main drawback in my opinion is they are slow in quotation, and always provided us with lump sum when we already specify it. I had to chase for quotation until I give up. Another thing at that point, we requested to visited their current project, they told us they dun have any to show us, unless we visit their sister company which they had a part in - their carpentry. We decided to sign up another company as we find the other one more sincere, very responsive although they are slight more ex then premplus. But it's the rapport and confidence level that counts.

Update: We have by far purchase all essential electrical appliance. Ordered another 42' Panasonic TV for our room from audio house. That's $699 with bracket n mounting and a 7' tablet. For Internet connectivity, we're going purple. Opennet installation on 25 June, Myrepublic coming down for installation on 2 July. Monthly $59 with free installation and activation, include a wireless router and a free repeater as we opt out of home voice service. Haha hope that after that I can go 'green' by not wasting petrol to roll into office. Lol. -

Today we went to Lucky Khoon this morning. It was recommended by my ID. We though of buying there, to save some hassle in case we need to do exchange, our ID can assist if need be. But pricing isn't attractive, so we drop the idea and went shopping elsewhere. Our next destination was suppose to be Universal Union, but on the way walking from the carpark, we passed by Heritage Bathroom Gallery and went in to have a look. Service from the shop is quite good and friendly. So we ended up buying there instead and proceed to Singapore Expo when we bought another item which we didn't plan to buy so early (again) haha -

Day is the 3rd day. Laying tiles starting. Yesterday our ID suggested we do plastering for the whole house. And we went ahead after some bargaining. It was a Sales vs Sales talk yesterday and I think he also sweat when he see me with the original quote in hand, and hubby has his measuring tape in his. For each extra item, we will counter with 2 items reduction. Either remove, or reduce. On the other hand, I kept asking him to confirm anymore 'surprise' for us better put upfront. -
