Yar, i was abt to ask on the maintainence issue? Paint peeling? But most of private apartments comes with painted false ceiling and there do not seem to have any maintenace issues. Maybe can use the same type of paint.?

Hi valarie, The bathroom effect looks nice. R u going to use exterior paint to withstand the moisture and humidity? With regards to the airpipe, xtr din remove it, but reroute it to the side as it was smack right in d middle previously. But i'm not sure how it will affect the smell with the rerouting.. I'm a noob in this so not sure of the implication. I was intrigued when i saw xtr's pipe shifted to the side with a L-shape extender fixed to the top and bottom becos it make the entire toilet much bigger.

Can d air pipe be shifted? I tot i saw xtr's toilet renov n he shifted his? But he mentioned something like vacumn pipe?? Not sure if it is the same thingy?

I'm not so talented... Me can only drool at your beautiful home. It's easy to research and plan but i reckon d most difficult part is the execution. Not easy to source, buy and match all these stuffs! u r a lobang king! Not sure what is yr nature of job, but u n wifey sure have a keen eye for details. Hi, I'm a bit blur. What is the difference between wet n dry area in kitchen? What specific task do we embark in dry area? I ask this because most of the time when i step into the kitchen, bound to wash something, except to drink and take snacks fr fridge. Sorry if this is a boh liao question...

Hi, Can i know how much is your wood like floor tile, its dimensions and the place u source for it? R the subway tiles expensive? Heard it is diff to buy n more costly to lay? Dun worry abt the balcony... Leave it to the technical guys or can call hdb or town council for help? Maybe there are other units in the same situation?

Hi XTR, You and your wife have great taste! Love the way you 2 plan and furnish the house. The mood of the house is totally enhanced by the furniture, accessories and colour scheme..It's very mid-century with the industrial vibe. Vey hard to pull it off as I believe you probably did a fair bit of research. Moe pics pls....I'm totally glued to this t-blog of yours.. ;-)

Hi Val, I meant Marina Square. I think they have just renovated the place but not sure how long ago. The tiles look similar to what you have posted. Evey stall have their own patterned tiles on the wall and floor but I'm not sure if it's the same as the one at MBS (have not been there yet). I think it looks nice if the tiles are going to be the focal point. I also notice the smaller prints look busier(more penarakan like)while the bigger prints are easier on the eye.. but then again, that may be due to the size of the wall and floor. It's certainly a very refreshing kitchen style from the usual clean and perhaps cold modern kitchen. I guess it all boils down to personal preference ;-) also, with such print, kitchen do not need to be too neat since most ppl will be drawn to the patterned tiles.

Hi Val, I'm not sure if you have been to the food court at Marina Square level 4. The stalls actually used a variety of the tiles you have selected for your kitchen. It may give you a good idea how it will look when on the bigger area. The tiles are used on the wall and floor, and different stalls have different design of the tiles. Hope this helps. ;-)
