That website got a line saying whether can install in HDB. This model also cannot. HDB got some blocks with current limitation, some dun have. Need to check out whether your block got current limitation or not. But u get this type of 1 to 1.. means bedrooms dun have aircon? Normally HDB flats get multi-split, and for max power, usually is R410 gas and inverter.

Silicon Sealant is general purpose use for indoor use. Since u say u are using it for alumimium composite panel, then u are probably using for external use. This one I tried.. very very durable. Kena on hand.. a few days also cannot wash off. http://www.selleystrade.com.au/Blockade795/default.aspx

Income Tax
yoongf replied to riovista44's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
If the property is jointly owned, then the income has to be declared 50-50. This is not a arbitrary method. http://www.iras.gov.sg/irasHome/page04.aspx?id=160 For jointly owned property The rental income is taxed on all the joint owners based on their share in the property. It does not matter which party receives the rent or whether the owners paid for the property. This also applies to rental loss. The rental loss is apportioned to joint owners based on their share in the property. -
Urgently To Change My Sewage Pipe.. Pls Help
yoongf replied to Turboegg's topic in Home Maintenance & Repairs
Vertical Sewer pipe and the vent stack is common property. Is the Town Council or MCST job to get it repaired. **** messy job, cos upstairs all the poo and pee will rain down during replacement. go contact the TC or MCST ASAP. They will arrange all upperfloors to stop using temporarily during the replacement. Meanwhile, go buy those 2 part epoxy putty (like plastercine) to patch the leak tempoarily. Actually epoxy can also be considered a permanent repair if done properly. -
Shower Screen - Acrylic Or Tempered Glass?
yoongf replied to synapse's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Can compare like this meh? Frameless can only use tempered glass. Framed.. normally is acrylic, unless is some high end stainless steel trim type. -
I am going to make tons of assumptions here... but I am guessing u will need a ceiling cassette to get the max airflow rate. this will allow u to spread the cold air as much as possible, for an immediate cooling effect. If u got double vol ceiling then cassette not advisable. U will also need an inverter model, which can give a higher BTU/watt ratio. Anyway.. this may be wad u are looking for. Whether you have space for such a big outdoor condenser or whether there is current limitation, are other issues to consider. http://www.coolserve.com.sg/htmdocs/products/products_details.asp?id=3090

After testing out so many types... 1. Forget about pebblewash. Turns black very soon due to algae. Also if workmanship not good, then cracklines will appear with the white effloverance lines will occur. 2. Homogeneous tiles, when wet, even if matt finish, will be very slippery. Only those textured type like slate/ honed finish can be considered. But then, if got texture, then dirt will easily trap. 3. If I have to make a choice again, then I wld go for those dark granite flame finish. Either 200X200 or 100x100. I wld use a dark colour, so that dirt stains will not be so obvious. Dark colour driveway also look nice with spot lighting. Really highlights the car in the driveway.

No restriction to shift wall away from front boundary. But hor.. structurally, is better to maintain the line with the neigbours. Then at least yr 2nd story got max space. Only the level 1 wall shift back. Tell architect u wan "Max Envelope" For 2 car, is better to widen the gate post. so 2nd car can park slanted. 2 car in 1 line.. very lechey to take the inner car out.

Absolutely no paperwork for the buyer. OTP is drafted and issued by the seller. Seller take OTP to own lawyer, and lawyer will do the rest. Talking to bank for bank loan, also dun need agent. If dun have own lawyer, ask the bank to intro. They usually have a panel of lawyers who are very pro in property deals.

Back support can easily be supported by 50mm wall plugs. Hmm.. think even maxbond glue alone can do the job.
-
Any hole drilled cannot exceed 50mm deep. Eh... any type of bench.. better to rest on the floor, or at least have legs. This is dynamic loading.. cantilivered design will be shaky.

Help! Can I Widen My Awning Window?(apartment)
yoongf replied to phoebee1234's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
This is called Top Hung Windows, and windows are considered external facade.. MCST approval is needed for any changes. If dun ask.. then nobody can tell u no rite? But sometimes.. is for safety reason that it was not allowed to be open big in the first place. sometimes it's also so that residents from such units cannot peep into Istana etc. If ventilation is an issue, then put a table fan infront of such windows to suck in the air. -

Inter-terrace Renovation
yoongf replied to issardj's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
No structural works, no significant change in exterior size.. no modification of roof .. usually dun need BCA approval. However hor.. if the existing building.. already got unapproved modifications.. then u start new works.. then someone complain.. if inspection kena u on the previously unapproved modifications.. then need to submit for regularisation.. Just proceed without BCA application. kena complain then see how. -
Your friends are wrong. If the roof terrace belongs to u, then it is your responsibility. Even in interfloor leaks, it is joint ownership between up and down. Since u own the floor above, as well as the ceiling below, then it's 100% yours. If the roof terrace is common property, then it is the MCST problem.

So Many Kitchen Top Material, Which One To Use?
yoongf replied to Funnysheep's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Without any strong preference, start off with Solid Surface. (Corian is one of the more expensive brands) -
Most PLC type concealed light fitting need at least 4 inch for the finished surface to be flat with the underside of false ceiling. Use false beam, or L box if u wan the effect of a higher ceiling.

High Electic Bill! 3 Room Flat Help!
yoongf replied to NingNing's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
$290 for 3rm with aircon on everynite is not considered high. The biggest power consumer is aircon, fridge, WATER HEATER, DRYER, OVEN. HALOGEN lights. Aircon filter if not maintained regularly, will cause the compressor to overwork. Storage heater left on also **** power hungry. Some ppl got huge fish tank. their water and air pumps also quite hungry. Wiring dun cause over consumption for long. Old wiring will simply overheat and burn.
