Just abandon the old pipes and install new ones to minimise hacking.

Try Fullsun Marketing, at 146 Jln Besar, as they regularly supply commercial projects with handicapped toilet fittings. Is not knurling, but dimpled pattern (like golf balls) these days.
-
do a tiny boxup of the exposed pipe, (like a false column) so got a flat wall to mount the fitting?

Title And Bankruptcy Searches For Buyer
yoongf replied to Roflmaoxz's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
Whether is truly bankrupt or not, still need to check mah. Check = effort = $ lor. Put it this way, no one wants to be accused of collusion with a bankrupt to divert $ to avoid creditor repayment. Sometimes some lawyers kiasu want to cc everything to the OA. -

Title And Bankruptcy Searches For Buyer

Undischarged bankrupts are not allowed to sign any contracts, and must seek permission from OA. Sales proceeds must also be handed over to the OA, instead of the person. -
Urgent! Need Help For A Contact (aircon)
yoongf replied to yuene's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Are u going to salvage the old aircons? If no, then dun care, ask the hackers to treat it as debris. To call aircon ppl to come down just to dismantle something to trash is not worth it. There is nothing dangerous about the gas. When u ask contractor to dismantle, he probably thot u wanted to salvage it for somewhere else. -

The facebook bloke incident is a criminal act, as opposed to this issue which is a civil case. U are correct about not requiring upfront disclosure of legal entity. However, if u are using a third party medium such as this forum, then at least respect the wishes of the forum owner, who has made it a T&C of no badmouthing. If u want to badmouth someone, then state the legal entity, which will give the respondant direct access to the plaintiff. Save the hassle of getting the forum owner involved. Even ST forum page require name and NRIC upfront before allowing any publication. The practices of this forum is no different from most other online forums. If u still think u are right, so be it.

Roofing
yoongf replied to Itchy Fingers's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
Might want to consider just decking over existing roof tiles with those aluminium colorbond roof sheets. Much faster, and less hassle. If u going to replace tiles, shd also put in the insulation + aluminium sheet as a heat deflector. The aluminium sheet acts as a second barrier against water seepage. -
If u are writing about true experiences, then u have to state yr name and NRIC in the open, so the forum can legally attribute the remarks to a legal entity

Since when DWG become a valuer? The ultimate test is... HDB buy back the flat at the price they sold. U think there will be a flood of transections? I am always curious about the motivation of such articles. -
Hob got town gas version and tank gas version. The pressure of these 2 gas is different, and the hob has different regulator. Maybe u got the wrong version for the type of gas u using? Usually the box got say the regulator is for which type of gas

Plant A Tree Within The House
yoongf replied to leechaorui's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
In the pix, its not say not enough space for the tree, the tree leaves will follow the size of the root system. Therefore if the pot is 3 ft wide, the leaves will adopt a similar footprint. I wun say is a bad idea lor. It's just that to put in so much effort, with high expectations, the outcome I have seen so far.. no success stories lor. Even NParks specify mininum dimension for tree planting is 1m wide X 2m deep. This cannot be a pot liao. And lately, the trend is to use the palm tree, the short one with a wide fan shaped leaf. Recent Singapore Garden Festival were using tons of it. Anyway, gardening is a personal hobby. As long as ownself contented with the outcome, that is all the matters. -

Plant A Tree Within The House
yoongf replied to leechaorui's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
There are many issues to consider. My opinion is: 1. Tree need at least 3 hrs of direct sunlight a day. A 12m high skylight will only allow say 1 hr of direct sunlight during noon time to hit the bottom of the airwell. Direct sunlight is not the same as sunlight. If the tree is already 10m high, when installed, then at least the crown will be able to get angular sun. 2. A tree looks like a tree because there is a well formed root system. Crown size = root size. A potted tree will end up looking very skinny and unhealthy. And those tree that dun need much sunlight, are also tree that is not very leafy. Therefore, put a tree inside an airwell, will not look like a green tree we normally see outdoors. I yet to see any successful airwell landscaping involving trees. Palm tree got, but those not much greenery. 3. I have a 3 ft wide clay pot. 1 person will struggle to carry it when empty. Cannot imagine having to repot it next time. I rather stick with indoor plants, commonly sold at Ikea. Need a lot of them to achieve the jungle look. -
Msig Travel Insurance: No Cliam To My Lost Baggage.
yoongf replied to i-poh's topic in Men Women Kopitiam Corner!
Even AIG (Chartis) does not compensate under similar situation. http://www.chartisinsurance.com/TravelGuard_1030_229154.html E. Baggage Q: If my belongings are left outside on a bench while I am in a queue are they covered if stolen? No, you did not take all reasonable care of the property and it was left unattended. Q: If I send a suitcase back to Singapore early, will it be covered? No, unaccompanied baggage that is not checked in with the airline you are flying with is not covered. Q: The original article was stolen while on the trip and the replacing article was lost a few days later - is the second article also covered? Yes, provided proof of purchase and proof of loss can be provided for both occurrences. Q: My jewellery was stolen during an overseas trip, will it be covered? Travel Guard will compensate up to the limit of the chosen plan for loss of jewellery whilst overseas due to robbery. -
Solar Power
yoongf replied to watchthewaves's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
If building a house in the middle of nowhere ... no powergrid connection, then a solar powered home can justify the initial cost. If electrical infrastructure already in place, then just compare initial cost vs. savings during payback period .. sure not worth it. Dun need to consider the cost of the initial setup, the cost of the 1 set of replacement battery already not worth the savings in electricity. Need to design the whole house to operated on low voltage systems like LED to get a reasonably cost effective batt. -
The mounting bracket got many hole configuration, so can usually take all models. The issue is only the weight of the LCD. Free installation usually this models. http://www.sanus.com/us/en/products/vision...t/tilting-mount But.. these are nice! http://www.sanus.com/us/en/products/vision...ll-motion-mount
