  1. Hi all, I'm looking for a good and reliable contractor NOT an ID to do a major renovation for my house. If anyone knows of one and you've been happy with your experience, please share contact with me. I don't need ID because I roughly know what I want. Please PM me. My email: liutehnsin@yahoo.com.sg Thanks all. Liu
  2. I'm interested in a reliable contractor to do a major renovation for my house. I doubt I want any ID to cut costs as I think most of my furniture will come from IKEA. I've some initial thoughts about what we want but the problem is there are too many conflicting posts on this forum about who to trust and so on. If any of you have reliable contractors that do not cost an arm and a leg, I'll be interested to speak with them. I'm hoping to get references from owners NOT self-promoters. We also want to engage a reliable Professional Engineer to look at some cracks in my house. Can anyone help? Thanks. I can be reached at liutehnsin@yahoo.com.sg
  3. Same requirement here. If anyone has some information to share about the costs of engaging a PE (Professional Engineer), that'll be great. More importantly, the PE should be reliable and experienced. My last encounter with a PE when I did an a&a was 10 years ago. Now I'm seeing cracks in my walls and floor and based on some initial feedback, the PE may have made a mistake in calcuation before approving the additional 3rd floor extension. The previous owner built an extension for his 2 storey house. I built an additional floor but the PE approved it so before my new renovation can proceed, I have to be sure that the unsightly cracks don't appear again. So any help here?
