  1. Check out this thread.. maybe you can ask them who did the cement stuff for them. fatpiglet
  2. Maybe you can consider Bukit Panjang. Close to CCK and Teck Whye. Check the newspapers, and you may get a 4 room for that price.
  3. Actually if you can drink, you can also try to fill them with ice wine or other fruit liqueurs. They make a nice surprise too.
  4. Phoon Huat at Jurong carries vanilla pods, you have to find them in the chiller section. As for caramel, I am not sure if they sell it, but you could just boil up a batch by yourself, homestyle. Phoon Huat Locations
  5. Ah.. can try ebay. They have nice decals. Search under wallies. Plus renotalk have a local spree for decals from wink. So take a look there too. If don't want to do decals take a look at this renotalk blog below.. they did a stencil cutout http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...=7936&st=40
  6. I chose the color of the PVC to match the grouting color.
  7. They get their panels from Samsung. So... I think panels wise, it is equally good.
  8. I only know what not to get... my friend wanted to get a canon one at Sim Lim, but the salesperson talked her into buying a DX-9 camcorder for $630. It is apparently made in Japan and is a subsidiary of Panasonic. However the videos taken were not very good that night when she tried it. So when she went down to try to exchange it the next day, they refused to allow her to exchange the DX-9 (cause receipt says goods not exchangeable), and when she brought it to the second hand store at Sim Lim, they only offered her $100 for it.
  9. Pyrex? They still have offer on their baking set at major departmental stores.
  10. Does it have to be orphanage? If not, there are plenty of other volunteer jobs. I would suggest that you take a look at NCSS volunteer circle to find out about the types of volunteer work there is. They have a volunteering talk every last thursday of the month. NCSS Volunteer Circle
  11. Sorry, I meant standing tower fans<standing fans<wall mounted fans. My bad. Anyway standing fans don't last as long, because children and maybe people in general like to move the fans' heads towards their direction, rather than carry and turn the fan around. So yups my own mother managed to break 2 standing fan heads that way. They snapped at the neck. The fan still can work, but the neck is dangling or pointing at the ground permanently. Wall mounted, out of reach... so lesser damage from monstrous human strength.
  12. Have to agree that standing fans don't really last, and cannot dismantle to clean the dust. Have to use vacuum to suck out the dust. If getting KDK can consider panasonic standing fans as well. KDK bought over by panasonic many years ago, so basically KDK makes the fans.
  13. I think they also have an empty patch next to BPP. Besides they can always build it above the current bus interchange. Anyways, it will be pretty unfair for the older residents in the other side of bukit panjang if everything moves over to the newer estates, the current BPP is more central to BP as a whole. See how it goes. Anyway, new MRT station will take a long time to build.
  14. Wow, really nice sleek silver magnet door holder. Makes me wanna change all those in the house too. My hubby will soon ban me from visiting forum, if I keep wanting to change the stuff at home.
