This is the design of my Acorn ceiling fan. I had it with a lighting fixture. Bought it due to its interesting neck. Been using it since December 12, still working well with the remote.

Oh my... It was really sian to face these situations. I'm not sure where I read from, but this certain forum mate made a good point. We shouldn't scrutinize the firm based on certain IDs. For example, Carol who was my ID did a great job... The general cleaning was done as written on contract but due to some miscommunication for painting touch up, she threw in additional cleaning for me. Cleanliness wise was acceptable. Rubbish throughout the renovation was regularly cleared. Of course, upon handing over, the unit was good for moving in. I just move into my place for 3 months and yet to face any issues for the time being. But friends and relatives advised me on possibility of IDs ignoring our issues so it maybe good to bomb their main line and not call the ID if he/she should ignore us. Hopefully you need not face such issues anymore!

Now that our renovation is done and we had finally moved into our place, there are some feedback for Summit Design! ID - Carol Lim Like many couples, we started scouted for an ID/contractor for our 4-room unit way before our keys collection. Carol gotten back to me after mass e-mailing recommended IDs. And so, we conversed for closed to 6 months before signing on the dotted lines. Throughout these 6 months, Carol was not stingy with practical ideas, experiences and designs with me. In fact, her replies were constantly prompt, usually within a day. One of the reasons we signed up with her was her patience. Not once did she hurry us to sign the agreement contract and that made us very comfortable with her. The quotation we received was not one of the cheapest, but upon comparison, it was reasonable. Furthermore, it was comprehensive with no hidden cost. Carol had frankly shared on why some items were more pricy compared to external sources and was cool when we intended to get our own contractor for some aspects of renovation. As usual, some firms line up with their own 'collaborators' for lighting, furnishings and whats not. Carol did not insist in bringing us over to the shops, and was okay with us getting our own stuff. Later on, we even passed her our invoices so she can arrange for deliveries. The renovation process was extremely smooth sailing and relaxing. We enjoyed having Carol updating us from time to time without having to ask. Works were completed according to schedule. Frankly, I wasn't expecting to be able to move into my place so soon due to the year end peak. But I was pleasantly surprised with Carol and she delivered what she promised. She was very accommodating with our feedback and did her best to solve all issues. We had a few very small uneven bumps on one of the laminates which my hubby did markings to remind Carol. We actually forgotten about it and mentioned nothing to her. However, she saw and even arranged for carpenters to return to re-laminate for us. One of our parquets were scratched so I dropped her a message. She told me she will take a look and soon, the floor was re-varnished (for free!) and looked better than the empty room done by the developers! Handing over was extremely easy because of her frequent checks and updates so only touching up of paint was required. According to friends and family members who had renovation experience or had their places renovated, the workmanship was great! This gave us a huge sense of security! In a nutshell, Carol gave us a wonderful experience as 1st time owners. Surprises (not shocks huh) were thrown to us each time we dropped by to spot-check see see look look. She made us miss the renovation journey! Highly recommended!

Hi guys, After hearing reviews (on Carol) from a few renotalk-ers and having personally visited one of her client's completed house, I felt rather confident with her. I was at Summit's showroom yesterday and Carol went through the quote with me, giving me suggestions along the way. Although we had been communicating since May, she did not rush my hubby and I to sign on the dotted line. In fact, she said it's definitely okay for us to wait till a site visit for a final quote (collecting keys in end November). Throughout these months of discussions via e-mail, she was very prompt. In times of doubt, she will send me photos for better illustrations. She understood our concerns and worries being a 1st timer in house renovation, she gave us practical suggestions and truthfully told us that she is okay with us outsourcing some works to contractors as her quotes for these items were indeed higher than contractors. As we did not have an exact idea of our theme, she lent us 2 albums of laminates (EDL and Jennings) for references! We were very surprised as we did not expect her to go the extra mile when we were not confirmed customers. She told us that we were allowed 2 changes on 3D perspectives drawings. But because they were rather pricy if there is a lot of changes. She suggested us to go through laminates and colours, note them down and let her know. She will match for us according and if everything is okay, she'll send it for 3D drawings so changes can be minimized. After going through the final quote and some bargaining , we decided to sign up with her. On the same night, she even forwarded me an estimated work schedule so we can visualize the happenings during renovation better. I hope this is a good start to our renovation!
