  1. All the best for your reno Could you advise the cost of your flat, you may pm me if you life.
  2. I dont mean to speak on the plumber's behalf but any reason why he cant understand what you want? It seems to be totally glaring mishaps. The kind where you have to question the way instructions are passed down the line to him or he could be totally non plussed. Anyway good luck with the reno mate
  3. Lynda, Very nicely done reno. Please upload more pics of your bedroom, esp link to the WIW once its done. Thanks
  4. One of the more interesting designs here. I like your toilet layout and esp your kitchen island layout which has thrown up a couple of ideas when we eventually move into our own tiny 4rm. All the best rover
  5. Retchlow, Those are some brilliant colorful tiles there Mind telling me, how much was the banker's lamp and where did you get it? Thank you and all the best for your renovation.
  6. getzski, what coffee machine are you using? did you get in sg? hope you get decent powder for your ski trip to japan.
  7. Mate, groovy place you got there. we have similar tastes in quite a few hhold stuff too. good one
  8. Hi Aristotle,

    cheers for your email.

apologies for the long delay tough..been bouncing around europe and havent had a chance to get on this site..we are looking to move after easter and I will let you know if we need price checking.

god bless and a merry x'mas

  9. Hiya Aristotle, I might cart over an ice cream maker and the espresso machine and the french press and some other rubbery amazng stuff from bodum which is fair value I am eyeing a delonghi, its a gd pick off amazon. Given up on the krup pods machines tho they look the business. I know singapore takeaway and eating out is not expensive and its a neat little city, lived there before. But settling down for a longer term is a different kettle of fish especially with a family. We like to cook at home and are more interested in prices of products we are used to. Besides the courts website, are there any other similar shopping websites for home appliances? Takashimaya's website is informative but without much on product prices. Ta and careful with your money Greek..
  10. Thanks Travelpac Courts site is pretty decent Ta everyone
  11. ok..thats a bummer (pun intended) What about stuff to bring over? Whats cheaper here compared to in sg?
  12. Hi guys, First post here...so be gentle We will be coming back to sg after a couple of years living in uk We got a BTO flat and will be doing it up shortly. Is it worth (cost effective) buying any appliances, homeware products in england and bringing em over? The theme will be scandinavian, continental but safety proofed for two snotty bambinos We like European brands and homeware/lighting items etc (eg Bodum, Boconcept, nice coffee makers, etc) Are there products that are much cheaper for us to get here and bring back to sg when we fly back? I am not very familiar with the prices in sg for similar products and any help/advice is appreciated. Also as ours is a brand spanking new BTO, can we convert the sitting toilet to a squatting type or do we have to wait for 3(?) years or so? All the best ta
