Hi vanessa, haven't tried before. Going to try this weekn! This is oso one Teochew restn that my boss and colleague said die die must try. They said it's nothing like those in spore wor! Heard very limited seating so better book in advance once reached there. I'm oso going to Jonker 88, Nancy's Kitchen, Baba Charlie... aiyo, so many food must eat in so little time..

Oh ya, i use lighter fluid too for stains.. best for removing stickers, labels, scotch/masking tapes residue (need wipe with a dry cloth while still wet though).. get from those ABC shop (or equivalent).. cheap & gd to use!

Poor Fragile Beng, I can feel ur 玻璃心 shattering into pieces like the glass chandalier But at least thank god no one was underneath it when it fell or got hurt! Ok, see wat ur they hv got to say ba.. please ask them to do a check on the one above the dining table too to be safe lor! Not sure if they will compensate u for the chandelier.. Any replacement plan for now? Still going for glass? Glad that ur other deliveries r ok, and they look nice! What/how do u intend to do to open an extra grommet(s) on ur TV console? One thing i realised, the stuff many furniture shops sell are 3rd party (many are from overseas too), so the shop that sells them oso can't do anything to it. For example, my experience with the coffee table i bou from a sofa maker - except their own sofas, all the other stuff (dining table, dining chairs, coffee table) they sold are 3rd party. No wonder the delivery of the sofa and coffee table were by different groups of people at different timing..

Aiyo! 小心头! Still find having a glass shelf for showering stuff at ur head level a bit 奇怪 lor! At that height, how r ur mom & sis (i suppose shorter) gonna reach the stuff? Anyway! Mayb next time can consider a corner shelf like mine? Swee bo? Hee hee! (but i dun hv the luxury of a shower screen like urs lor ) By the way, this is ur MBR or common bathroom?

Think after the powdery issue is totally cleared off (over time).. the white spots will oso be less.. Until now, my stainless steel taps still have some white spots (or rather water marks) after the water spots dry up. Best is to wipe dry after washing. Good to use the appropriate cleaning solution for the appropriate materials too. I hv cleaner for wood/laminates la, granite la, stainless steel la, glass la... la la la... ha ha ha!

Nice table! The prices there not the cheapest in town (there are some sale items though from time to time) but i think it's a reliable 100% local company (my ex-company bought some lounge chairs from them before). Like the variety of chairs in their mega showroom. Went there many many times to look for a dining table & chairs for my hse but couldn't find wat i like. Almost got a table frm them until i found another one elsewhere which i like better.. Understand they can do some customisation too.. Can check it out imho!

Instead of using broom & mop, try using a roller lint remover.. those long handle type. I bou one c/w 4 rolls few months ago & have been using it. It's really more effective than sweeping although some corners are not reachable.. Also, u must still mop after sticking up all the dust, powder, etc.. Share all ur experiences after trying it out k? Wah! Swee swee!! The wait is all worth it, isn't it? Looks like still got lotsa cleaning to do sia looking at the err.. rather dusty/powdery floor? I especially like: the mosaic walls in the kitchen & shower rm, the galaxy granite top (can see the sparkle liao.. hee hee! i went for the cheaper indian granite; can't recall wat name.. imperial?) in the kitchen, ur frosted glass wardrobe sliding doors (though personally i dun like to be able to see the 朦朦 mess behind.. nvr consider using the same for ur toilet/bathroom door? sexy sexy leh.. haha ) But the glass shelf in the shower room seems a little high... unless u 2m tall, need to stretch a bit to reach for ur shower gel or shampoo leh especially the pump kind?

There are sure to be gaps between wat we have in mind (the 'ideal' state) vs reality.. Just try to match as much as possible lo.. At the end of the day, if things (I refer to the effect not so much of the functionality) dun turn out wat we really hope for and they can't be changed (subject to budget of cos) then have to adjust our own 心态 to accept it lo.. Eventually, as even parts that were perfectly done initially deteriorate due to wear & tear over time, those 'imperfect' parts 就显得 not so 碍眼 le.. 住得舒服平安最要紧 ma! Jus my personal views though..

I usually look for things that r not avail in Spore, or things that r avail but r more expensive at the shops or r more expensive than shipping them in. Also try to look for those with no or lower shipping fee or combine orders wif friens to share out the cost.. I no sportsman la, jus playing for leisure & fun.. buying things is a important part of keeping the interest alive.. haha
