  1. fatty hubby? aiyo so hurting.. no need to be very elaborated reno la.. simple & cozy.. 住得舒服就好! take the purchase slowly lor.. 看准了才下手
  2. Paiseh Beng, hijack ur blog for a while.. Hi dexufto, I've been a great follower of ur blog (though I've remained quiet throughout ).. Thanks for compiling the list of 3-roomers' in ur blog! It has definitely provided me a great ave to ideas & experiences of fellow 3-roomers when I did up my own reno slightly >1 yr ago.. How time flies, 3 years liao for u! Time to do a facelift? Kekeke!
  3. Hi Hapigal Congrats on ur new flat, & welcome to the 3-roomers' club & to RT! Wat a nice resale unit u got there.. decent reno & very well-kept! This should save u sm $ in not having to do a major overhaul to the unit. Then can spend the $ on furnishing & decor! Gd for u! Looking forward to see how u tranform the plc to one u call "My Home Sweet Home!" Enjoy the journey & keep those updates & pics coming ya!
  4. Hi Beng (hv been friend with another blogger "Bengologist" whom i call him "Beng Beng" ) Congrats on ur new flat, and welcome to the 3-roomers' club & to RT! Yah, like the rest of my 3-roomers friends, i'm so envious (jealous haha!) of ur huge corner-unit 3-room! Gd for u! Ur intended kitchen does look a little small.. but if u r a bachelor who doesn't do much cooking, then a small functional kitchen should be enof le.. Even I stay wif my mom & she cooks every meal, i oso strunk my kitchen (think about same original size as urs) to make space for a larger living room + small dining area.. Looking forward to see the transformation & keep those updates & pics coming ya!
  5. Hi ilkl, congrats on ur new flat, and welcome to the 3-rommers' club & to RT! (At which part of Spore is ur flat?) Ya, like the way u blog.. shows that u've put in a lot of thoughts to ur reno plan! 赞! For 3-roomers like us, who dun have the luxury of space, space planning is definitely important, & there's probably where the fun comes too, isn't it? lol Really looking forward to see how ur transformation turn out! I oso did a dining sette with storage space below but without cushion (bcos scared if spoiled difficult to change). Jus to share my experience, u may consider doing the base slanting (instead of straight) for greater leg space & comfort (so that ur legs won't keep hitting the base/the cabinet doors). U can take a look at my pics below for reference. Buying a dining table to suit the sette was tough though. Probably too for urs. Bcos we need a relatively free space below the table for accessing to the storage space & the table legs can't be obstructing ppl moving in & out of the sette.. plus we must like the material & design.. After weeks of searching, I finally got what was deemed most suitable not ideal though.. I would hv gone for custom-made if still couldn't find one (then it would be another addn cost again) All the best for ur hunt in this aspect! Enjoy ur journey & keep those updates & pics coming ya! Living Rm with small dining area at corner Dining table & sette (the slanting base not very obvious here though)
  6. Finally get to see the whole pic now. OMG! What a splendid display of colours! It's so one of a kind, n it's so so homely! Congrats on ur accomplishment, n may the prince n princess live happily ever after!! Cheers!

  8. Ok bros, i jus share here ba. Mine is from www.sgshelving.com. You can look for Vincent at Tel: 62441512 or Hp: 98262379. Very nice and efficient guy. Called him from my office in the late morning & he was already at my hse in the afternoon to do site measurement before emailing me the proposal & quote on the very same day. On the day of installation, he came personally with a worker & got the job done in 30 mins. Even passed me a tub of desiccant/silica gel said good for the storeroom (not expensive stuff but very nice gesture right?) I went for LS (HDF panels) series, and the quote is below. Some of u all may find it on the high side though.. Main unit: 1050L x 450D x 1830H x 4 panels x 1 unit ($150) Extension: 1200L x 300D x 1830H x 4 panels x 1 unit ($130) Delivery/installation ($20) Add height to 2030H for both units @ $10 per unit ($10 x 2 = $20) Total: $320 I didn't take any pic of the racks in my storeroom, but it looks very much like this:
  9. wah! din know air fryer can do so all these too! kitty, u very de 厉害 leh!

  12. Wow, barely 2 weeks and the reno works (less the furnishing) is completed! Nice leh! Congrats!
  13. beng beng, which company u buying ur storage rack frm, size, & damage?
  14. Oh wat is tilt-&-turn windows? Sounds interesting! U mean u wanna install the window grills on the outside (of the windows) instead of the usual? Oh nvr see before leh on windows along the corridor in HDB flats..
  15. Wow, happening! Ooops! No no! I do not mean to be 幸灾乐祸.. more out of concern.. hope all hiccups are settled & u can proceed with the transformation project! If u may hv the time, do share ur progress & any problem that u may encounter (hope none of cos) so that we could share our experiences too or help each other ya! All the best!
  16. Bro E, no worry. Some insightful personal views u hv there! I suppose the newer flats no longer have such a corridor window issue because they no longer have windows along the corridor le. As to wat the govt/authorities could do to improve the older flats, or set the min. code of safety/security stds for installations such as the above (if they are even aware of it), IMHO, as citizens, we could also exercise our due diligence to provide feedback to them (thru watever feedback channel). On a side note, there are really contractors (licensed ones I have come across so far) combing the older housing estates to offer their services to hse owners whose hse or any part of the hse is deemed to require some repair/upgrading works (it's just another form of 'biz development' i suppose). One just has to be careful & wise in handling them. Personally, I encountered before a contractor who approached me to change my old toilet glass louvers and frame (last time these were fixed on wooden frame). Apparently, it could seen from the staircase that the outside of the wooden frame was highly rotten liao.. My 2-cents worth too! Cheers!
  17. Wat!! No ghost story!? Oh wat a letdown! - -''' Kidding lah! Am so glad & relieved tt it wasn't anything super-natural Think u can be a very gd blogger or story writer, sure very high readership de! Nice wooden blinds u hv there! Hope ur mom won't hv a hard time cleaning the grim on the slats (especially if she's a heavy cook).. oh ya, u got air-fryer liao.. no more 油烟... kekekeke!
  18. hmmm.. bigger.. which part(s) har? and for those lines, remember to use a water-proof maker hor! kekeke looks like quite a fair bit of unpacking & packing yet to be done huh? shall await the next instalment(s).. or final payment liao? hee hee!
  19. Although of different make & installed differently, mine works actually like Z3phy's.. To lock, just push in the latch. To unlock, need the key of cos. Once all the windows r locked, there is no way anyone could remove the windows le from outside (short of breaking it) or take out the key from the lockset (which I leave in the lockset for convenience.. gd thing is, my windows r about 1.7m above the floor so the locksets can't be seen outside.. ) The guy asked me to install for my grills too but i said i'm only concerned when there's no one at hm. We always lock the windows when we are out, so now that the windows are locked properly i have less worry for the grills.. (luckily he din prove me wrong by breaking in when someone is in though ) The guy who did for me apparently no company so no issue receipt..
  20. Yo beng beng!! u r 'back'!! and as humorous as usual!! so missing ur humorous posts!! Hmm... air-fried food.. better than oil-fried food.. but still must eat in moderation hor if not how to build choc-pac like jay? But i understd it is meant more for those frozen deep-fried food not the kind prepared fresh with wet flour platter like 炸虾,炸鸡翅膀,炸虾饼 etc? yum yum! The replacement chandelier looks gorgeous & it looks like the original! Is it the same one? U know where they got it from? Same Taobao seller or their own lobang? Ay, post some pics of ur final products leh..
  21. Congrats! Glad to hear that you've moved in & settled down.. Share the pics & we can share how to decor it.. ha ha!
  22. Sorry folks, went home late last night.. took the pics (sorry for the poor quality due to poor light condition) but only got time now to upload.. Shown here are the 2 locksets installed for my 3-panel sliding windows in my common bedrm. Got another 2 sets for my 4-panel windows in the living rm. (oops! looks like the locksets need some polishing.. )
