Totally appreciate wat u said. Went through the same roller coaster emotions during the long, draining reno process.. At the end of the day, if all parties hv already done their best (including ourselves to watch closely over the works whenever we could, & the ID/contractor to cooperate with us), need to learn to let go a bit, adjust & adapt instead of keep dwelling & getting upset over it.. Neverthess, wish u hv an overall smooth and stress-less reno journey! Looking forward to follow ur progress thru to a home sweet home! Pics pls, heehee

Congrats on ur key collection! Now really get a good grasp of ur hse! The flooring actually got a lot of char.. is gd if can mend (i know it's possible) the broken parts & polish, and if it commensurates with ur theme.. must see the 功力 of ur ID/contractor lo.. but reckon u got fair bit of hacking (e.g. those ugly-looking columns & dividers) to do, sure many parts of the flooring affected de.. aiya! hack (care) lah! hack lah! poison... haha! Think not adviseable to do screeding over marble but better check with the expert ba..

Good lah to re-do it to ur liking.. Most importantly must feel shiok staying there.. Looking forward to following ur journey!

U haven't gotten ur large fridge rite, hv u? Then jus get a big one of these super chio rectro fridges (& the matching dishwasher too.. poison poison! heehee) if ordered liao, see can chg bo.. sure they welcome this chg since this much more expensive i bet!! LOL!

Thanks for sharing. Nothing beats the experience of someone who has been using it for a longer period. I din go for Venetian bcos like to roll up the blinds for a full window view in the day. i oso found it too 'hard' n easier to collect dust since it's 'exposed' at all times.. N rainbow's better than those one full sheet of blind kind... Probably by the time the mechanism spoils (hopefully not) in several yrs to come, it's time to refresh the look too kekeke... Anyway to each wat one likes, personal preference la...

Hi bluecheeze, usually i only on this set of lights. For me, it's enof to lit my bedrm to watch TV, on the PC or do general stuff. But for study or reading I wld suggest to on other lights.. I hv a study table light n 4 downlights in the rm which I can switch on at different combinations to supplement this set of lights for different level of brightness. I hv this under-the-fan lights bcos I want a set of lights in the centre of the room over the mj table when playing mj in the room... hee hee! I din go for those type wif 3 or more separate bulbs bcos dun like the design n like u I prefer this simple design. By the way this model comes with 2 bulbs inside the frosted cover...

Not entirely cloth type of fabric la. Can vacuum or dust off or lightly damp wipe de. I use close to 9 months liao so far so gd. Bcos roll dwn only at night n can roll up into a housing so doesn't really collect dust. Think I over-spent on my curtains n blinds. I hv 2 sets of rainbow blinds for living hall (3.1m) + bedrm (2.3m) n 1 set of full length day+night curtains for MBR (2.3m) totaling $2.3K. Unfortunately I dun hv the breakdown as the invoice was in lump sum. So u go curtain hse to chk it out ba! Remember to ask for breakdown of quote in price per ft which I overlooked..

Wind is good. At least working fine for me. If not so hot & unit relatively windy, use low can liao. Usu i on med. In fact i nvr on hi before... No worry about noise. Almost negligible (except wind noise of cos) even on med/high speed Our HDB ceiling not so high (mine only 2.6m, urs?) so need go high else cannot stretch arms overhead.. heehee! My 5-blade in the living rm is lower though... Mayb i show u some pics of mine later...

Mayb I din do enough homework, but $2,990 seems quite reasonable for a 3-rm? During my sourcing stage, the quotes i got from different IDs ranged from $2,400-$3,000 (provisional sum for a 3-rm without detailed breakdown). Then when i worked out the detailed breakdown with my appointed ID, he quoted me a lump sum of $3,000. There was after some discount & was much lower compared to if he was to charge me by line items @ respective rates (which he provided for my ref). Of cos, my rates higher than urs lor (e.g. my light @ $45, double-socket @ $65, SCV $100) And during the reno process, i removed a few, changed some & added more... so final was $3,430! Really jawdrop! (PS. Besides 28 light points, I hv a set of cove lights; feature wall lights; 3 x SCV...)
