  1. Behold, the Selex Blok Walk-On Modern Platform Bed designed by Milmueble: So, yesterday I entered to win this bed in an online contest. Now, I love the look of it, but in case I do win, I am concerned about its size relative to my small bedroom (less than 12 feet across either way). It's only a queen size, but the platform and walk-on chestnut base make it significantly bigger than just the mattress size. Would this be too big for my bedroom, or even if it could fit, would it look "tacky" to have such a large bed in so small a bedroom? Any input is appreciated!
  2. Probably boxing, mixed martial arts (mma), and other fighting sports. In these sports, many athletes sustain injuries, such as broken noses and other broken bones... Also, perhaps ice hockey, because the players crash into each other, as well as fight on the ice.
  3. Most wedding venues provide a bar with the venue rental, but if yours doesn't or if they want you to specify a particular number of bottles, you're going to want at least 1 bottle per 2 guests, so if you have 30 tables with 6 guests each, that's 3 bottles per table x 30 tables = 90 bottles minimum. For those who drink more, have another 20-30 bottles on reserve.
  4. An extended warranty makes sense for a product like a refrigerator, if you intend to have it for 15 years... A television? Probably not worth it; you may replace it in 5-10 years anyways.
  5. Sony's Micro Hi-Fi Shelf System might be a good fit, if you can find the proper connection accessories (it normally works with a basic iPod).
  6. Definitely try and get a single contractor to do it all in one shot; you could save hundreds, easily, depending on how much debris we're looking at here. I had a single company haul away about 2 rooms worth of drywall, fixtures, etc. when we expanded our kitchen. Would've been a complicated mess to do it in separate steps or with separate contractors.
  7. I don't see why this wouldn't go well, walls in China are more or less the same as walls in Australia, America, etc., are they not? Or are the building codes really that different?
  8. Property auctions aren't the best way to buy a property, in my opinion, but sometimes for highly-competitive locations it's what you need to do. You obviously want to watch out for people artificially inflating the buying price by bidding it up without intending to pay, though this is quite rare. Beyond that, again, have a set maximum price you are willing to pay and don't let yourself be lured into bidding any higher than that. Plan ahead and you'll be fine.
