How do you rate the similarity of the actual house with my ID's 3D drawing? Somehow I feel there is something missing but I can't decide what else to get for my house... Any advice? As for my furniture, really regret getting my stuff from VanHoden.... On their delivery date (coincide with my moving in date), they only managed to send me my dining chairs and sofa pillows (grey) even though I placed my order 2 months ago... Not only that, they send me cream colour chair instead of white colour as what I ordered. So sad to see such an empty house on our moving in day especially when we will be leaving oversea for a month time.... They have lame excuses for the mistake too! They told me they are having logistic problem with my dining table as the container can't clear the custom on time. As for my sofa, they told me they FORGOT to add in the recliner in as what I ordered and need to send back to the factory again.. Not only that, they totally forgot the other items such as coffee table and carpet... As we are not at home, our friend has to receive our sofa on our behalf. This time, they managed to send mismatched additional sofa pillows (brown) even though it is stated clearly in the invoice (grey). When the dining table arrive on the third delivery, it is the wrong design! After some fact finding, we managed to find out the sales lady put in the wrong order and now we have to wait for additional two months for them to made a new set of mable table for us. As for the coffee table and the carpet, they told us it is out of stock and they are chasing the supplier for us now.. What the FXXK!!! So now, we have to wait patiently for the remaining items without confirmation that whether we will receive them... The worse thing is that we have already made full payment and we are pretty much at their mercy now...

My ID told me that according to fengshui, it is not good to have hanging lights for HDB, only suitable for landed property.. Forgot why already... Maybe you wan to ask ur 'fsm' regarding this?

Finally the house is in a move in state! So happy until can't sleep! My ID did a good job and quite happy with the final result! Of course there are still those minor touch up required but I guess we need to move in and slowly find out what defect there is Pictures day tomorrow!

Hi Casa, My ID quoted BLUM in my quotation so I guess I am paying for it... And that's why I am angry when it turn out to be something else... I guess his explaination is some mumbo-jumbo since nobody else heard of Albion and I can't find anything about it online... Currently very disappointed with my ID and really doubt that he can do handover by 5th of May... Stopping my t-blog as of now to see whether can everything be sorted out or not...

I am staying 2 minutes from Ikea Although I didn't buy anything from them, hehe...

After a long wait, we finally got the carpentry drawing from our ID, two weeks before the completion. He still missed the vanity cabinet drawing but I guess 2/3 is better than none! What I am worried now is that I saw he is planning to use Albion hinges instead of BLUM hinges as initially promised. He told me he has customer having issues with BLUM hinges, therefore helping us to replace our BLUM to Albion hinges. I heard bout BLUM a few times from fellow Renotalk forummer but not Albion. Anybody know about this Albion? Is it better than BLUM? Or do you guys think I should insist to use BLUM instead? Your advice is much appreciated as I will need to confirm with my ID tomorrow! Thanks in advance!

When my ID start to do plastering on my wall, I was shocked when I saw that my OpenNet termination point is dismantled. I suspect that it is damaged... He told me he will pay for any payment to get OpenNet to revisit to check whether is it damaged. In the mean time, he will set up the required trunking for the OpenNet if there is any re-laying of cable. When I went to visit today to see the trunking, I got double shocked when I see my termination point OUTSIDE my house!!! Now the re-laying of fibre optic cable is a MUST! Anybody know the contact of OpenNet sub contractor? I can't wait for OpenNet to come over for the cable laying as the earliest they can make it is end of July!!! I really wanna kill my ID!!!

Your house look nice! I think you and me are having the same wish list and having the same type of wife to smack our butt, hahaha.... One question, did you have fibre cable installed in your house prior to OpenNet installation? OpenNet has installed the termination point in our house but my ID's contractor spoiled it! He say nobody else can fix it other than OpenNet but OpenNet told me that they can only revisit at end of July.. That is too long!!! If your contractor can help me fix it, I would like to have your contact pls. Thanks!

Last Saturday my wife and I went back to Johor to find some cheap lighting. After went home for a discussion and decided which lights to buy, we went back the next days and found out it is CLOSED! Such luck! Example of lights we highlighted: Since it is too late to buy from Malaysia, my ID bring us to a shop in SG. Below are the lights we bought for our kitchen, service yard and both bathrooms. This is the down lights we will be using.

Oh no! My electric installation bill go up to 4.5k if I follow my initial plan! I guess there is a misunderstanding when I heard my ID say he will give me a package deal for the installation...
