my wet works still got a lot to go. I also talk to the workers, get them coffee, see if timing is okay for them. my first place i moved in before carpentry. installation quite fast, about half a day.
-
I check everyday to spot mistakes and changes. Looking at the process i also can change timings for stuff like deliveries or changing of gas pipe.

They use it to surround outdoor swimming pools. So i think you can basically throw almost anything at the tiles..

Ya it's that price. What I understand it's tedious manual work that's why so expensive. We told our contractor from the start we wanted it then seems like he forgot. When we mention again he say will delay 7-10days!!! We wanted to give it up when our electrician help us ask. Downside is you need to arrange such that works doesn't clash if you dont want delay. guess that's why our contractor say will have delay. It's easier to do work in phases than concurrently.

Erm.. the subway tiles are 90cents each. not exactly cheap. Whole kitchen do that can go broke.. Sent him pictures already. Still dunno 8| 8| 8| Tile shop is his bro's, dont think will run out for him..
-
You can request for that. You paid for the tiles anyway. Just ask the tiler stick it on, at most 1 day more work? Thou i heard a school of thought is that when you take down the cabinets will damage the tiles anyway. dunno if it's the ID/Contractor's bsing their way thru but sorta make sense? My wife is just too OCD not to have tiles behind. =X

Thats true. But 30A still can have 2 compressors just that both compressors are amp limited, i.e. lesser power. Check with HDB. Might be the way it's routed. I've not seen anyone install compressors along the corridor in the area. if get complains of noise and heat then problematic. Yes, there are units with 2 compressors, even the older point blocks opposite install 2 compressors. (this is part of the plan)

Tio rejected by family. Shall find another chance to do it next time. Lol.

What I understand is ac compressor is installed above the balcony. Got other place?? Our house not exactly face sea. It's more like got sea view(i.e. you try hard enough can see) if you really wanna put it that way. Don't really like sg sea view as all you see is ships more than Normandy dday landings. Sea view should be so big and vast that you feel small. =x I do worry about rust hope the ac compressor not so affected as no direct sea breeze
-
Erm from balcony if you stand there look left technically ya. But don't really consider it sea view unless selling =x that's gonna be 20-30 yrs down the road. Don't want to move till the kids leave the nest.

Toilets should be done up. Think you pay a bit more can do flooring from hdb.
-
Agreed. Dunno what my wife considering. Lol!!!!
-
Thanks for letting us visit your place. Your demo was really useful!
-
Think we just saw you under your block. Choosing laminates??
-
Not to certain but having 2 20A just for ac sounds risky. You can easily over shoot 40A. You haven add in your home entertainment or computers ESP gaming rigs.
-
The ac isolator only 20A. 2 compressor shld be got limited current
-
Hdb limits your ac to 8.5A each. Unless you blasting both compressors should be enough.
-
40A little? to put into dollars and cents At 40A power for 1 hour you need to pay, 40x220, 8800Wh = 8.8kWh 1 kWh about 28.78cents now hence 8.8 * 0.2878 = $2.53 dollars just for power for 1 hour.
-
the ratings are for MAX power consumption, if all your a/c is at full blast, then ya you cant cook. if not you'll get power trips. you can ask your electrician to install an amp meter to see how much power you are drawing currently.
-
The singpost hotline didn't mention this. They ask me go work it out with ex owner.
-
*rawrs* This is ridiculous!!
-
Ya. Except sellers no pay property tax. Now waiting for them to settle it. grrrr
-
Finally at hdb waiting for second appointment.
-
Might be the whole idea after all, to put your soap and stuff..
