  1. Wow.... Congratulation in completion of your renovation! By the way, how big is your TV. The size looks good on your living room.
  2. My SO sketch this when we brainstorming ideas for our gate. Seems like we are quite sure to do fencing instead.
  3. Shall stick to solid surface as we cannot stand the joint line and way too expensive. The money we save from not using quartz can channel to yearly polishing!
  4. Painting started, gave them 1week to finish the work. I hope they don't screw up the dateline, next week the flooring people will be coming.
  5. Really cannot tahan, so 'chiam siong' with contractor and yeah it will be hidden. Apparently, it will takes 2 days to dig, conceal and patch it back.
  6. Constructed one. Remembered i tear down my main entrance and slated it. This is the newly erected wall. Didnt realise this trucking unil my electrician came to run the wires.
  7. When we bought th place, the 2 toilets are already merged. It was even bigger, wasted alot of space to hide both pipes. Nothing much to show for the reno progress. For the last week, the workers are busy patching up the false ceiling, and preparing the wall for painting. Shall wait for the floor and carpentary to come in then I will have more photos to share.
  8. Out of nowhere, saw this trucking sticking out from the wall, such an eye sore! And this is a prominent wall, which contain our main house switches... Told my contractor about it and was slap with a $180 bill for hiding it!!! How how how?? Or maybe we shall leave until one day we cannot tahan, then diy and dig a hole for it!
  9. It's really a steal! Must be your good negotiation power, look forward to your photos!
  10. Arghhhhh..... You're tempting me!!!
  11. I mean iquartz don't have the pure white. Share leh, what did you demo. How about you take a video of your demo and post it in youtube for us to see leh. You are making me worried. We decided to use samumg full acrylic. I'm really scare my island will become a eye sore one day. I also scare my helper dont know how to take care of it.
  12. Wow envy envy!! :jawdrop: Your big WIW makes me think of heineken advertising. So its it a men's room or lady's room.....?
  13. Usually the PRs are the one who is willing to pay abit more because they just want to move in immediately.
  14. This is what we posted in the ad. Its a 4rm HDB and basically we knock down every single walls that can be knock down. There is only one bedroom (a capsule platform bedroom, shown on right bottom). The othe 2 rooms, we converted half a room into WIW, the other 1.5 room, becomes our study and opens up to the living area. The main entrance faces the open kitchen (on right, top)
  15. Our neighbour upstairs did this! But we are going to design our own mini gate.
  16. Depends lah, if stay for 10yrs, and we maintain it well, i think can sell as a package. This is how we manged to sell our 4rm at a premium, the buyer love our house design so much that he basically move in with is luggage only. We even leave behind the fridge, the room tv, and the bed.... He even wanted our sofa which we rejected!
  17. I think I can live without all my old stuffs! i got my new bed, new tv, new fridge and new sofa can already, and everday eat out
  18. If you are looking for beanbag for your platform, you can check out spotlight. You must pay a visit to Franc Franc at Vivo. Lots of nice stuffs!
  19. We are discussing maybe we should just leave our stuff at storage for another month, even if it is after completion. We can move in 1st and enjoy the space. Just like living in hotel before reality set in.
  20. Check this out! We even slated our shower glass! The walking space looks abit narrow after installing the WC, so we decided to slate the glass so that it will not be an obstruction.
  21. We have finally nailed down all the uncompleted work, target to finish by mid Jul. Carpentry details finizlised, and laminates selected, mostly wood grain laminates. From the catalogue, you can't really see the grain design, so we went down to Lam Chuan workshop to look at the complete piece. We are quite satisfied with our selection, in fact they have more selection and nicer design than formica. I will be providing all the hinges and runner. I was planning to use hettich, but they run out of stock for certain measurement, and it will take 2weeks to ship it in. So decided to use blum instead! Carpenter will be doing all drawers and internal drawers for me, except for 3 drawers, we will be using blum drawer. The only reason we do that is purely branding purpose. At least when we sell our house in the future, we can markup abit by marketing our blum kitchen. I'm not even sure if this will really fetch a higher price? Anyway, just want to show off lah, since we spend so much on hinges and runners, the blum label must be able to see... :P
  22. Not only capentry. I still have painting, vinyl floor installation, staircase, parquet repair and polishing, lighting and etc pending. My staircase already install, but need another round of polishing, then painting. Shall take a nice photo when everything is up.
  23. Not sure if any people apply anti-rust on cmpressor?? Maybe can check your neighbour to see status of their compressor. I got mine install along the corridor, not very sure why.
  24. I got the keys on the 25th Mar, actual reno only started a month later, wasted 4weeks. And if I count back, this week would be my 9th week of renov already.
