We are using citygas, sink is Rubine (granite). Will post a picture of my island when I have time, currently do not have any nice pics.
-
My kitchen island has been completed, an actual proof that it is possible with comfortable walking space on either side. I will upload pics when I have time. :0) If anyone is keen, feel free to PM me if you will like to view my kitchen personally if you are still not convinced.

I actually did start a thread on York Aircon as per below link: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=49732 I used aluminium piping, no upgrade. No concerns on workmanship, everything (piping, installation, after sales service) was prompt and good. Although has only been 1 month after instalation. Picture as below:

Creation air is the sole distributor for York currently. Any concerns getting from them? My York system 4 aircon was installed a month ago and experience was very good their their stuff and workmanship. (Hope no issues down the road)
-
What issues did you encounter?
-
My aircon piping has been re-scheduled to 29/Jun (Fri) instead. Will update everyone on the progress soon. I only intend to conceal the piping through false ceiling but not through carpentry. Do not want to risk leakage at my carpentry.

Hi, Can you PM me your electrician contact? I need to re-wire my entire 4NG resale flat. Thanks.

Btw, noticed that your kitchen has an existing island. I am planning for an island as well but very worried about the walking space at both ends, although my ID keeps re-assuring me there is sufficient clearance. As I suppose our kitchen should more or less be the same in dimensions, do you have any trouble whatsoever with the island? I also noticed that there isn't any existing kitchen cabinet?

Hi Neighbour! I just realized that your floor plan is very unique and seems to be very spacious. The previous owners looks neat as well. My place is in original condition for the past 30 years as the owners are the first owner since day 1. haha Cheers

WoW, another neighbour! We should invite each other for our house warming yeah?
-
Wow, same block? I am also living in high floor, maybe we are living very close by? How much did you paid for COV?
-
No problem! My house just finished hacking, most probably another 2 weeks for tiling and plastering before able to lay aircon piping
-
Hi, My aircon piping will be laid on 23/Jun, fingers crossed that everything will turn out fine. How bout yours?

Am I the only one who feels that this package is a very good deal for a system 4 inverter?

Hi All, I just visited the consumer and electronics lifestyle fair at Expo and signed a deal for our aircon as below: Dealer: Creation Aircon: York System 4 Inverter (3x9K BTU, 1x18K BTU) (Compressor: 28K BTU) (Gas: R410a) Price: $2995 S/S Bracket: $120 Package Includes: - Armaflex 3/8 Insulation (Able to upgrade to thicker insulation at $50/unit) - Aluminimum piping - 2 x Installation visit - 2 x Servicing during 1st year - 2 x 25% voucher for subsequent servicing (This is not part of the package but I negotiated for it) - 5 years warranty for parts and compressor (If upgrade to thicker insulation, insurance coverage is 8 years) - Insurance coverage for damages to property due to leakage Personal Note: The design of the aircon is very modern and sleek, even comes with a cool LED display on the unit. As you may know, system 4 inverters for other brands (e.g Mitsubishi) is around $3600 at the cheapest. Therefore we feel this is a very good deal as the salesman explained this is a launch price as York is now trying to penetrate into the residential market. This brand is very well known for offices and departmental stores, even more popular in Malaysia's residential market. Hence we feel that this brand is reliable and we are able to save alot of $$$. What do you guys think of the above package?

29/Apr/2012 Today is the final inspection day. My wife and I were slightly worried if there may be any hiccups. Nevertheless we were very happy that the sellers had totally vacanted the place! The seller also handed over the keys to the flat (3 sets) in anticipation for the 2nd HDB appointment tomorrow. 30/Apr/2012 Completed the 2nd HDB appointment. We paid extra for the comprehensive fire insurance coverage, not sure if many others do that as well? Off we go to our new house as official owners for the "Opening door ceremony"! After completing, we locked the gate with an extra padlock we just bought for added security measures. Official Owners!! Opening Door Ceremony

We did have this similar concern from the initial discussions but the ID has assured us that there will be ample space to walk. I will definitely be going through this again during the actual measurements. Nevertheless guess I can only let u girls know the end results in a few months time when everything is completed.

Guess we both share the same frustrations. I ganna rejected by HDB so many times until my feelings became numb when I open so many letters. Anyway I just saw your T-blog and assume that you are currently better off with a EM.
