Renovation Week 2: Electrical, Air-Con Trunking & Tiling Part 2 Overlay and tiling works have began. The workers were still working on the living room floor and kitchen walls on Saturday! Happy with the floor tiles as they aren't as brown as I thought. New erected wall for our Bedroom 2 & MBR new entrances. Our colleague stays just next block, so we went over to help check for defects too. Surprisingly, there were LOTS of "visitors" who have yet to get their keys and wanted to take a look inside their flat. End up have to entertain them

Renovation Week 2: Electrical, Air-Con Trunking & Tiling Part 1 Due to our hectic work schedules, we only had time to drop by during the weekends to review the progress. William was kind enough to Whatsapp us on the updates of the house every few days. Everything's on schedule so far. Electrical and false ceiling are up! Still hate the air-con trunking beside the air-con ledge window. Any ideas how to conceal them up?

March 15: Hacks away! Commencement of our renovation! Lots of walls to be hacked away. The house looks so spacious now!

Here's some of our 3D drawings received a couple of days ago. Satisfied so far! Can't wait to see the final product! Anyone knows where we can get identical roman blinds as shown on the drawings? I think they fit nicely into our home

Been lurking in Renotalk for the longest time ever and finally we have something to contribute to the community! Our nest is a SOBF in Casa Clementi after failing 7-8 times of BTO applications ^^; It came with a hefty price tag but we're still glad to have a home of our own right now. Bay windows for all rooms! Our common toilet is pretty unique; you can access it via the service yard (bi-fold door) or hallway (no door!) and comes with partitions for the shower and WC respectively. Feels like a kopitiam/shopping centre washroom! We plan to keep the layout but overlay the wall tiles and change the middle partition to frosted glass. Keys were collected in early Feb and renovation has just began! Our ID is William from SDS. Their quotes are indeed not the cheapest around, but we chose him because of the 5-year warranty and good chemistry during our initial meetings. Crossing fingers!

Collected my keys recently as well and in the midst of finding the right ID. Can't wait to start renovation! Has anyone spotted any major defects with your flat? @mersing: Are you referring to the push-out window on the top left of the bay window? I have difficulties reaching it too unless I climb into the bay ledge
