$399 at Star Living
-
Edited my post; I missed out on the bed and bedframe! The Flow Series consists of only black and white. If you like the color combination, it may be a good deal to go for.
-
Nice! The armrests look movable... My sofa costs slightly under $1800 after some bargaining; the original price tag at the showroom was $2380. It might be more worthwhile to get the Flow Series package (sofa, foot stool, coffee table, tv console, dining table and chairs, or mix and match for bed and bedframe IIRC) at $3998.

Yes there's a variety of colors available for: - Outer leather area (white part) - Inner leather area (black part) - Fabric cushion - Cushion leather trimming (white line on cushion)

Week 7: Sofa Hunting Advantages of living in Clementi - IMM and TradeHub21 are only a bus away! After a tedious day of window shopping at both places, this was what we settled for at Cellini: Flow Series (without the foot stool) Loves!

@sunsetsky: PM sent! @lovenestinjw: Welcome to Clementi! The estate above the mall is not Casa Clementi, hehe. Casa Clementi is at Clementi Ave 1, in between Clementi and Dover MRT.

Sorry kunzzy, our electrician has yet to configure the switch so we can only turn on/off the lights all at one go (thru the circuit breaker) ~_~ Hopefully it'll be done next week!

MBR Toilet And finally, a cramped shot of our pole system wardrobe in Bedroom 2 (transformed into Wardrobe & SOHO):

Living Room Guestroom / Reading Corner Bomb Shelter Feature Wall Common Toilet (Due to space constraints, we changed to round cabinets so the glass sink can fit nicely)

Nice! Which block are you at? Looks like Casa Clementi is getting livelier by the day!

Week 6: Shopping! Last week's progress has been pretty slow with only the rubbish clearing, floor washing and wardrobe done. Will update pictures of our pole-system wardrobe at our next visit! Carpentry will be in tomorrow Weekend shopping trip to Star Living @ Paya Lebar! Extendable dining table (1.2m -> 2m), dining chairs and coffee table. Black bling carpet! Still on the lookout for the perfect sofa...

@casa: Passed by Ocean a couple of times to get drinks for the workers, but haven't got the chance to try the food there yet @paladin126: I didn't even get to see them saw my door! T_T @yeese: Thanks for the advise! Looks like there's a lot of hidden clauses we have to be aware of...
-
@casa: Heehee, thanks! Looks like your renovation is finally commencing too! Good luck @HelenYeo: We took a loan from our parents. Figured we'll let them earn the interest instead of the banks. My colleague also recommended me RHB Bank's renovation loan, maybe you can check it out? Sent you a PM! @binchotan: I heard HDB has started the keys collection for Blk 420! You must be excited!
-
Sure, I should be going back to take a look this weekend
-
@binchotan: Welcome to Casa Clementi! Which block will you be staying at? Gathering sounds fun! LOL @kunzzy: There's only 2 downlights using warm white lightbulbs, so changing *should* not be an issue. @HelenYeo: It's indeed much more spacious now with the Kitchen and Bedroom 3 walls gone! Can't wait for carpentry to be done within the next 2 weeks! So far so good with the worksmanship as I'm not really picky with the minor details. Perhaps you can request for a quotation and worksmanship viewing first? That's what I did too. Yes it's homogenous tiles throughout the living and bedrooms. Initially wanted white colored tiles but they're so expensive (like 8 dollars and beyond at Hafary)! Can't figure out why... Maybe they're harder to manufacture? This was the "lightest" color we could find and still within budget.

Renovation Week 5: Painted, Tiles Done, Lights Up! Didn't realise the main door was sawed at all until tiling was completed. I guess that's a good job done? (Ignorance is bliss) Hahaha Took these after dusk while testing the new lights, our house is starting to take shape! Slight issue with one bathroom light malfunctioning, and the warm white downlights in the hallway not matching with the house's cool white lights. Gotta get 'em rectified by next week!

Forgive me for the lack of updates! Was away in Japan admiring the sakura blossoms.. @paladin126: My ID charged me $80. Is that expensive? @HelenYeo: Renovation has been slightly faster than orginally scheduled by William. Our renovation costs a bomb only because there's lots of modifications to the house like toilet tiles overlaying, and wall hacking for multiple rooms. The display cabinets in the living room weren't cheap too, but we prefer engaging carpentry than buying ready made shelves from furniture shops. Oh well. If you're doing only simple renovation, you should be fine.

Time to start your t-blog so I can follow too!
-
@tankee: 100sqm, 92sqm internal area. @casa: Expensive hor? Not eligible for any grant also /continues to bleed It's a low floor, we can't afford anything more than half a million. Target early May completion! Our quotation is almost $50k, we're trying hard not to add anything else now!

Sale of Balance Flats It's about $480k... *Starts singing: I keep bleeding, I keep keep bleeding...*

Are you from SERS or SOBF? You got your keys real fast! We come from two ends of Singapore (Jurong vs Bedok)! For me, I spent my Secondary School and Polytechnic days in Clementi so I'm not a total stranger to this area. But... where's Ocean Coffee Shop? Hehehe
-
Looks like I'm not the only one, and I'm not very comfortable with them sawing my door! They sawed both your doors and did not "seal" the exposed parts up? Gosh... If it's me, I might try using colorless nail polish to protect it hahaha

26 March 2012: Floor Overlay Issues ID called today to inform us that the entire house ground has been elevated slightly due to the overlaying of kitchen floor tiles. As such, there will be problems opening the main door! His current suggestion is to saw the main door shorter...
