Hi Aya, My ID got apologise to my dad for his behavior on tat very same day after tat incident and I considered the matter closed. As to the newly erected wall, they also rectified the prob (ie they already removed the plaster and apply cement first and they should be replastering again quite soon). I still look forward to the finished end product (ie my SWEE SWEE renovated house) by DeFong. I'll post up pics soon! Hehe.... -

Hi Brandonlky, Thanks for the warm welcome! I wanted to share more pics of my existing house before reno but i do not know how to use this forum function and i can only upload 1 pic only. :sad -
I've just collected my keys on 8 May 2012. My renovation will officially starts on 14 May (currently application for reno permit). I decided to start a blog here on my reno progress after reading so many useful sharing here by other house owners. This is a 27-yr old flat and i'll be doing a major overhaul to the unit as the condition is very lousy. My floorplan. I've an odd-shaped living / dining rooms - Living / Dining room - View from main door entrance: My electrician uncle is really efficient! He already went up to remove the lightings / fixtures and cut away the wirings of the whole house on 9 May 12 (1 day after my keys collection) so that my reno (hacking of tiles etc) can proceed smoothly on 14 May. Living Room (view from dining area): Dining area / Kitchen Entrance: I'm gg to change the current kitchen opening to the other side adjacent to the storeroom door. Hence, this entrance will be blocked up.

Haha... i like "Their installers are bangalah, mine electrician also bangalah, why he can't work as fast as them?!" funny! i oso missed the OpenNet free installation. Will be engaging an electrician to do rewiring of house house. He's asking me do i need a Cat 6 wire, SCV point etc etc... i oso not too sure. Is SCV and TC point the same? Cooker Hood and Hob wiring points different? Btw, can't really see the wood grains on yr tiles. If u choose different color tiles for living and bedrooms, will the door join areas look weird? Mind sharing wif me how much per sq ft is yr floor tiles? -

Hi Aki & Aya, Your floor tiles for living room and other bedrooms different or they're the same? I see the pics seems like they're different colors (maybe my eyes playing a trick on me). Is yr living room floor tiles all / pure white? I love yr DIY bird cage. Yr kitchen wall tiles is nice too! -

Hi Aya, Really thanks so much for yr detailed PM! I quite stupid, dunno how to reply to u via PM. Haha...☺ my ID fm DeFong is William. He seems a very comfortable guy to talk to (he resembles my uncle alot). Haha... I doing alot of carpentry works. No false ceiling / L- Box etc, but hacking & repositioning of 3 doors openings (Kitchen door & 2 toilet doors) etc. TV consoles in both living & master bedroom. Plastering of the whole house. The design of my toilet door opening forbids me to install shower screen. So I'm repositioning the door openings lor. But the updates u posted today looks nice! Think my confidence for DeFong is up again. -

Hi Aki & Aya, I finally confirmed DeFong as my ID Hope my choice is correct man... Now i'm simply at a lost cos i need to find Aircon, Windows & Grilles, and Electrical contractor by myself. Can you share with me your Aircon contractor? Yr blinds and curtains contacts also? Think i'll also go Hoe Kee for my kitchen accessories. Up till now i still cannot find an electrician. Very stressed out cos i just changed job and super busy with work. Cannot take leave somemore within these 3 months - cos just started in new job. But i'm so glad that you've set up a super informative and interesting blog. I'm following your blog very closely. hehe... thanks & good work! so happy to see that yr reno is completing soon. -

Hi Ayazumi, thank you for posting such an informative post. I'm considering to engage DeFong too for my newly bought resale unit in Yishun. William fm DeFong attended to me. May I know why do we need to switch off electricity fm DB while renovation is in progress? Contractors do not need to use electricity whilst carrying out reno works? My housing agent advised me to do the transfer for utilities with PUB exactly on the completion date. I.e, I'll hv the water & electricity on the day I get my keys. Is this rite? Sorry, cos tis is my 1st time buying house (under Singles Scheme) and alot of question marks in my head. Selecting & confirming a ID is another big headache. -

I'm currently talking to William from DeFong. Any reviews abt him? In the midst to confirm my ID soon. Is William better or Kelvin. Seems like there''s quite good reviews abt Kelvin and he seems more popular. Thanks!
