Hi, Can you please share the contact details for your contractor? Also, if you don't mind, can you also share the total renovation cost for your house? Thank you!

[ Re-postng, since this was initially posted in the wrong forum ] Hi, We are moving out of Singapore temporarily for 2 years. Since I wont be renting out my flat, all my furniture will be here unattended. Does any one have any advice on what all precautions I need to take for my furniture and household stuff? I plan to move most stuff in one room and cover it with plastic sheets to protect them from accumulating dust. But I read somewhere that covering wooden furniture with plastic sheets doesn't allow it to 'breathe' and the furniture may rot in the humidity. Other option is to get some fabric sheets instead - but not sure when can I get some cheap ones. Also, I need to dispose my plants. Don't want to abandon them on the void deck. Has any one else been through a similar situation? If yes, your suggestions will be help a lot. Thanks.

Hi All, As you can see in the picture, the glass door of my bathroom (bathing cubicle) has come out. I don't see any visible hinges that I can attach the door back to. The bottom support looks broken. Does anyone know any good repair person who can help on this? Door Image 1 Door Image 2 Thank you!

Need A Carpenter/contractor To Replace Kitchen Platform
cheshirecat replied to cheshirecat's topic in Carpentry Works
Hi, I finally got my kitchen surface replaced. Also replaced the bottom void part with a new cabinet. The workmanship was of very good quality and the quotes were quite reasonable. Here is a pic of my newly done kitchen surface: My contractor: Kenneth (910-777-53) I would like to add that Kenneth was very helpful and was always available for help. He stuck to his timelines and always kept us up to date on the status. -
Need A Carpenter/contractor To Replace Kitchen Platform

I got one quote at 90 SGD per feet run + 300 to 400 SGD dismantling charges. The surface board is "under corian brand". Is this quote reasonable? Any hidden charge I should be aware of? -
Hi, The kitchen platform in our house has come out (see pics). I tried to fit it in back, but it won't budge. Looks like I have to get it replaced. Can someone suggest me a good contractor/carpenter who does this kind of work? If you are a contractor or a carpenter, can you please PM me separate quotes for 1. Just replacing the kitchen platform 2. Re-do the entire kitchen (dismantle the cabinets, hood & hob and replace with new ones) 3. Just change the doors of the cabinets and replace the hood & hob Thanks.

Hi, I just had a look at one of the houses here in Telok Blangah Drive. The details are as follows: 1. Age of building > 30 years 2. Mid floor 3. Decent view from front, above the car park. Partially blocked. If crane your neck, can see the cable cars, some greenery etc 4. Minutes to Telok Blangah MRT 5. Good renovation done. No need for me to change anything much. No wardrobes though. 6. Renovation done less than a year ago. Ceramic tiles all over the apartment. 7. Kitchen done very well 8. 5S, 120 sq meters, corner unit, bright and breezy 9. Afternoon sun Overall house is in good condition. Asking COV is 60K. I think this is to much, but based on the recent transactions this seems to be the norm (median COV for last quarter 2011 is 45K) What do you people think?
