  1. Many thanks to the swift respond for my order. Ordered 2 sets of 707 princeton instant heater (black) on 14/12. Items delivered on 15/12. Very satisfied with service and the delivery uncle too. Highly recommended.
  2. Oh dear, that's a disappointment with caesarstone seller... No warranty card even after two mths? Hmmm, my potential id actually quote me caesarstone for quartz countertop as he cant get silestone contact... Is it due to going direct that makes the difference in service? Btw, u say BLUM do kitchen quote... How do u go about it? What a nice thing it'll be if could have BLUM kitchen done by BLUM itself... Wahaha.
  3. Hi Ashanti, thanks for dropping by my humble blog... Not doing much, im afraid... up till not havent even confirm id yet... But slowly buy things... Bit by bit... 2016 3Q.... Might not be that long... Mine was stated 4Q 2012 but got keys in May 2012( 2Q) n it's good u start reading up renotalk... Finding out which place got good lobangs, which design might suit u, what to avoid... I learn so much from here.. For that, im thankful
  4. Really good service from Zero. I whatsapp him yesterday evening, asking him to quote me the two heaters. His respond is almost immediate. Enquire whether can do delivery tomorrow( that is today, sat 15/12) he said ok.between 1-3pm. So, today, delivery man called about 12.15, said will be delivering items about 20-30mins. Right on time.1pm, a friendly uncle came.. COD.  Here they are: One of the units. Colour range, though dunno if all colour range available locally.
  5. I wasnt sure how much zero sells for 1 set, but outside selling about 280 each(maybe lower, didnt search much). I bought 2 sets n was quoted $470 by zero.
  6. I know this is kinda weird, but here it goes: Bought fujioh hob &hood.@$750 Might not be the best deal but i just go with it...  FG793- 3 burner stainless steel hob FX900 The sales person kept wanting to push us into buying the fx890 hood, but i've already set my mind on the 900 months before. Good or bad, only when they are up and running will tell. And, ya, also bought 707 princeton instant water heater. 2 sets for both toilets. Request for black colour. Hob n hood bought from hooKee @ TKC whereas water heater bought from Jerome aka Zero.
  7. really salute u.... Anyway, have an enjoyable reno journey.
  8. Y not give Aldeco in jb a try. One of the forummers gives thumbs up for their products...
  9. Mine dun have cover for the kitchen switch. Only the washer switch comes with it. But, ya, to save cost, need to play around the layout so to minimise the need to do additional/relocation of switches... 
  10. Hi Ketua, thanks for dropping by. Dun worry, who knows u'll get keys as early as Q2 of 2015... Still can gather lot of knowledge from others here. Im not doing much, just the kitchen. Though only that, it's giving me alot of heaache. Wahaha.
  11. Purplestar, thanks for the pointer.. Ya, i think it's a bit too low but maybe after putting up the top cabinet it might not look too low. Still prefer to have it relocate, though.
  12. That's right, originalbread... Get it check ASAP. This kind of problem cant close one eye...
  13. Just dun wanna pay for quartz and get diff material just because of my ignorance...
  14. This is granite. See the 'line' for the backsplash.
  15. Questions... Questions... Am full of confusion. Last week hubby n i went to an id office which has a showroom in it. He showed us diff kind of countertop: solid, granite n quartz. He told us that for stone countertop such as granite n quartz, there will be joint lines, and the backsplash too, will have 'cut' look. For solid surface, there wont be any join lines and the backsplash will slope up as one. But, look at this pic here, and tell me, what material is this? And this:
  16. Bleucheeze, n others too, u might give that place a try... the one recommended by Lancified. Am 'lobbying' my guy hard to go to jb next weekend...
  17. sad.... Made that purchase months ago... Then came across ur thread too late, Lancified. But still, i might be able to buy other accessories there... Just need to convinced my guy it's really worth the trip.
  18. Jasdy, if got leisure time, maybe can read up the discussions we had about sink here: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=47387 To say kraus is better than franke, frankly i havent see franke sink before, but heard it's of good quality too. Best is, u can have a feel of the sink( franke) before making the purchase. It's available locally, right? pricewise, is about the same. To date: im yet to get kitchen tap but high chances will be getting it from Song Cho. doesnt look fancy but decent enough.
  19. Thanks Bleucheeze for ur input...late at night some more.. Really appreciate it. Do u mean to say, putting the fridge at the fridge's designated area? The depth there is quite shallow( about 550 thereabouts) so somehow that didnt come into my thoughts. Unless i add a little bit of false wall to the opening( making it smaller than original), then the fridge wont be jutting out. Hmm....
  20. Wow!! Good price for the bookshelf...
  21. That's a neat piece of laundry system... Might want to get it to replace my mum's old laundry system. Where is this KS? And thanks for reminding me about the extra charge a carpenter might charge for extra fittings for the cabinet... Have to keep that in mind( n my notebook too). Lastly, congrats on ur lovely newly renovated home.. Indeed it look great.
  22. 1. Sink on one side, fridge and hob with hood on the other. 2. Fridge, hob/hood and sink in 1 line 3. Hob/hood and sink in 1 line, fridge at the opposite. 4. Hob/hood at the shorter L-shaped cabinet, sink at the longer L. Fridge at the opposite. My fridge dimension is 1777(h)x635(w)x676(d) My sink is about 58.4cm I intend to get 3 burner hob. Different id i met gave different ideas. Myself is clueless about which is the best coz one of the id threw out my idea to put fridge at the right hand side of the kitchen entrance. I actually like that position coz people from living n dining wont be able to sneak peak my fridge when the doors are open... The real headache comes to the positioning of the hob.. I need to have sufficient countertop space. If i were to choose no.2, my food preperation place will be cramp( eventhough my drawings are not to scale). The id who suggested that suggested me to do a countertop at the 'designated' fridge area where i can do my food preperations there. His rationale; distance isnt so far from sink, hob n fridge. No 4. is something that i didnt think of and was suggested by one of the id. I found it kinda acceptable till i voiced out this layout to other id( just to get opinions...) and he said, work space might be too tight and would be too jut out. Haiz... Was thinking of putting hob and sink end to end ( not in picture) but hubby said my elbows might hit the side walls while cooking... Am i making things so difficult? Why cant i be decisive? Havent even confirm with an id... Really scared of making the wrong choice....
  23. Anyway, gotta dilemma here in deciding layout for my kitchen. Hope u guys can give some opinion on this... (pardon the tardiness, really not good with floor planner, hence these messy drawing indicator ) 1. 2. 3. 4.
