  1. Today is the day of buying lights! Went to a light shop at Joo Chiat after reading some good comments from this forum. Bought these items from there: Downlights x 12 Bedroom lights x 2 toilet light x 2 kitchen light x 2 T5 4" x 5 T5 2" x 1 Total spent = $563.20 After that went to another shop at jalan besar (lighting.xxx.sg) & bought the following: Living room light Dining light MBR light Total cost = $455 Total expenditure for the day = $1018.20
  2. I think by at large similar. It has two faces (front & back). But if you are thinking of really vintage, i think the Parkmall one has more variety. It is a shop at level 2 that sells alot of clocks. Another place u can try is wong&kingwong at NEX. I have yet to visit the shop though. HAve fun shopping!
  3. Hi, I managed to find in a shop in Liang Court & Park Mall. But yet to buy. They cost around $150-200. IM sure bkk will be cheaper.

  5. bought Mitsubishi HI aircon today from GC. Around 3.3K for additional 5 yrs parts warranty and 2 yrs servicing package. Next tues will put up aircon ... Will take sme pics when its up ya..
  6. Did some research on this forum and realise that there is a shop in Joo Chiat that helps to do free installation if you purchase from them. That will help to save abit in my electrical quotation. Anyone bought from them before? is it more advisable for the contractor electrician to do it or is it ok for the light company personel to do it?

  8. Hi ahlipz, My colleague bought from Gain City mitsubishi sys 4 also. Plus 5 yrs warranty & servcing and upgrade of pipings etc it become $5000 plus! Is it worth it to get the extra things? (warranty, servicing, pipings)

  14. Finally im collecting my keys tommorrow!! Yeah!! Will be meeting up with my contractor and electrician tommorrow as well to get a quote on the lighting points, hope it will not be too expensive. Btw, if i need to engage with the haulage service, do i apply with the town council? Usually i do it or the contractor will do it?

  20. Hopefully so. It will be great if it is windy. Now im contemplating to have aircon in living room or not. Slowly look for contractor. I realise those that give the quotation point by point could be cheaper than those who quote as a package.
  21. Hi all, Im deciding on getting a inverter or non-inverter aircon. I heard from friends that inverter aircon only helps to save electricity if you are a heavy user. Is it true? It will be great if someone can educate me on this. Thanks alot!
