  1. For wall : Can see from the wall thickness where the window is placed. If it's more than 5mm, chances are it's overlay. For Floor : Can see from the door kurb. if it's more than 50mm, chances are it's overlay. But still can't guarantee 100% ansewerd ur question unless we hack it off.
  2. The tiler has a good advice, that's better way to do it. Even if ur room looks squarish from the floor plan, but pls be aware that sometimes a wall might be slanted by few cm. So if u start the tiles from the wall, chances are, there will be a tiny piece of tiles once u reach the other side of the wall.
  3. not only quality that needed to be concern on, but also if it's qualified the PUB requirements. Because some lighting from overseas are not qualified by PUB.
  4. solid surface : -maintenance : easy -durability : medium -price : low -design : ok Quartz : -maintenance : easy -durability : good -price : almost double of solid surface price -design : nicer than solid surface, more interesting pattern Granite : -maintenance : hard -durability : great (as it it natural stones) -price : more expensive than quartz -design : not much color can choose
  5. should invite ur id to visit the unit to see actual condition, to avoid any hidden cost.
  6. not recommended for kitchen. Better pay a bit more and go for carpenter instead. IKEA wood material is not great.

  8. After u re-polish the granite, it will be match with any kind of theme of design. Because granite is always comes in natural feeling that can blend well with any kind of theme of design.
  9. Yes, it is posible and approved by HDB. But for parquet flooring need to remove the extg parquet first. New flooring can't lay on top of the parquet flooring.

  11. Hi there, Ur unit is still in good shape and sizes and it will looks even better with a good space planning. I'l help u :-)
  12. Must be careful of the cheapest quote, might have some hidden cost that keeps adding on.
  13. Can even maximize the wardrobe to the door wall, and integrate it with an entertainment unit for u to put ur tv&dvd.
  14. There'll be some hidden cost that follows ur "simple reno" : 1. Protection of flooring 2. Hacking and clearing of debris/rubish. 3. Electrical works 4. Painting works (touch up) Aside from those cost, the TV console with panel might cost you 2-3K depends on the design&materials u're using.
  15. Never allowed to conceal wiring on HDB, as the celing is already the structural concrete beam itself. Why dont u hide it using false ceiling instead?
  16. U can have white panel combine with black tinted mirror trimming. That will go well all together
  17. Anything that need to construct safety barrier need PE endorsment. And yes, better check with HDB first.
