I'm buying a 4 room resale hdb flat. Currently they have installed a system 3 Mitsubishi starmex aircon, but they don't have an aircon in the living room. i would like to know is it possible that i could just change the compressor to a higher capacity and get a 12000 btu blower for my living room? Any inputs is appreciated. Thank you.

I would go for option 2. At least the loss of headroom is not so much. Simplicity is best.
