Changing Color For Door
Strawbeari replied to Strawbeari's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
ya, won't be replacing them at all. Just want to change their colors to white. -
Hello everyone, I need some advise for these opted in HDB doors. I would like to have them in white color but after spoken with a few IDs, they mentioned that these HDB doors are with veneer finish and painting over them is almost impossible. Is there anywhere to change the color? We are hoping to go industrial look and main colors would be white and black... so these doors are sticking out like sore thumbs. It includes the main door, bedroom doors and bathroom doors. Haven't thought of replacing the doors as it won't be cheap. Please advise me. Thank you in advance!

Hello Pinkwhale, Would like to ask you regarding your living room ceiling fan and your cove light. Do you experience any strobe effect with the cove lights on and fan on? I'm intending to have a similar design for my living room but is worried about the strobe effect. One of the ID I met said, when on the fan don't on the cove light. OxO if like that a bit redundant to have the inner cove light. Would like to hear your opinion.

I saw your latest layout on your t-blog, your kitchen and dinning area is very interesting and spacious. I use Home Design app for iPad. There is also another that can draw 3D on iPad is Home 3D but I prefer Home Design, forgot what's the reason behind that. ^^; Anyway, I'm using floorplanner on my computer. haha easier with mouse. XD Sorry, reply a bit slow, went to Msia over the weekend. Saw they have so many furniture and light shops that when I was in the coach. Drooling away. but too bad no time to go look see look see.

Hello May_dream1 I saw your kitchen! So big and with the island <3 Very nice place you have. ^^ Just dropping by to say hello~ -
Hello I removed the walls to see how it's like in the first person view in the app. it's much better with them removed. Noted the hob & hood. I go try the floor planner. thank you for coming by

I am looking for such lightings as well There is one who has used the bottom left lightings (Red wiring) for his kitchen Hello Oh! May I know who is using this? Toying with the idea of hacking Else the wall/space just next to the main door feels really odd to me.
-
I see. Ya lor a bit hard to calculate also. What I like most is when the sales person ask us to sit in front of the hob and he on it. We can feel the heat from the hob but just as immediately as he place the pan on it I don't feel the heat coming out any more. O.o Also when they fried the wet franks the oil don't splatter much too. I hate frying because of oil splattering. What do you think about this part?

Thank you We always try to keep our kitchen wares to the minimum because the more storage space we have we will keep more stuff than we need. XD

Hello May_dream1 Thank you for sharing your view, they are very clear. May I know how long had you been using it? Do you have an idea how much more is your electricity bills when you use this? So would you recommend it to me? Sorry, a lot of questions. ^^; Ya with offer it's still 1.3k+ so I find it pricey. But looking at how the demo show can toast break, heat up food easily with just the mesh.. etc it is really tempting. plus a can use a lot of different pots pans on it. I will be going to the showroom again with mil to show her how it's like and probably look more into the part where you say it takes awhile to heat up also. you have a good point also the point about when cooking second dish, it will still be hot. We are not too particular with using wok or not so it's a safe point for us. even mil is converting to using deeper frying pans now. ^^

Hello! I like your taste a lot! <3 I'm also looking forward to use the big round pendent light for my dinning area. Saw it online very often but also not sure where to get it locally. '3';

Hello everyone, recently my HTB and I saw the demo for Roman Delicooker at Expo and it seems like something suitable for us. Low maintenance as it seemed in general and quick to heat up. We are not heavy cookers and future MIL will be using it most of the time and she will mainly cook only dinner every other day. I would like to get more feedback from people who installed at their home and used it. since I feel that the pricing is a lot more compared to those normal stainless stain hob I would like to know more about it. Please share with me your experience/review with the cooker? Thank you very much.

Ceramic Tiles That Looks Like Wood
Strawbeari replied to Strawbeari's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Thank you for your insight yoongf, those points are really helpful! Honestly I'm not really concern about the coldness so should be ok maybe the house will be cooler since HTB and I are kind afraid of being warm. Do they need any special care or may I ask if you take care of them specially? I've also read that there are porcelain wood like tiles, do you know how are they different from the ceramic ones? I really like wood but I've had bad experience with them since I'm not good at taking care of them so I am happy when I found out that there are tiles and they look great too! With their colors and textures, I find them very attractive. -
Hello, I am considering tiles that look like wood floorings for my 4RM HDB flat but I am not sure if it is good or not and will it be a lot more expensive than normal tiles for HDB flats. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences about this type of tiles, so far I've only read that there are 2 shops in SG that sell this type of tiles (yet to check them out), I've seen beautiful ones online but they are from the US. Is it easier to maintain as compared to wood flooring? And I heard that colored tiles tend to change colors, is it true? Looking forward to your advise.

Possible Issues With No Floor Skirting
Strawbeari replied to hapless101's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Hi, I've read from magazine that it takes more care to clean when there's no skirting. Have to avoid wall when cleaning and also suggested to clean sides of wall with piece of cloth by hand instead of mopping etc.
