  1. Heheh. I know which contractor this is. There might be additional tiling costs (see remarks)? Think there are different grades of aluminium bi-fold doors.
  2. oh. Sim Boon Huat at Jurong East. Selected my tiles from there. Think I saw your tiles too...but, don't remember any tiles at $1.60 - $1.80. Think they were at least $2.00. But, I may be wrong...that day look at tiles until blur blur.
  3. Yah, agreed. Request to go and see their work. And ask how long they took.
  4. Wah, three children!! Good for you!! Would you know what sort of insulation, piping and trunking you'd be getting for your Mitsubitshi non-inverter? I'm thinking of getting a non-inverter too. Thinking of LG 'cos nccc.gov.sg website listed LG as more energy efficient and 'cos it's cheaper. Any warranty?
  5. OIC, thanks autumnzy! Would you know anything about the sort of insulation, piping and trunking you'd be getting? So, I guess the air-con water pipe will be concealed in the bathroom floor finishing?
  6. I'd usually call to remind if I don't get a reply. They'd take note and usually reply over the next two to three days. But, my search was during the CNY period, so I gave chances as most were very busy.
  7. johnson28, can share you got your lights from?
  8. Yes, very considerate hubby! Lovely shiny silver fridge and washer. I'll be bringing my old fridge and washer. Nice solid wood wardrobe. Was the wardrobe ex.?
  9. so poor thing...night duty or overtime? Thanks for the tip. rummi, PMed you my e-mail. Yah, I don't mind mini drawers either...only problem is the matching mini top cabinet...looks very odd.
  10. Flowers for Odie! Get well soon!!
  11. Full day at the CCC is abt $800+, I think. No choice. No good ones around within walking distance. After moving, I'll be putting him in a church kindergarten at about $488 per term with optional classes in the afternoon. Two friends whose kids are there said it's good. Anyway, it was my "home" church before I moved to my current place.
  12. Congratz, autumnzy. Such a memorable start, coinciding with the earthquake. Can you share how you'll be doing the air-con piping? This is before laying the tiles, right?
  13. That's really smart, lynzi. Wish I had thought of that.
  14. Just visited a neighbour's place yesterday. She had white carpentry done in the living room and study room SIX years ago and it still looks good! !!. But, she maintains her place very well. Her tip if you really want "white carpentry": choose off-white e.g. cream so that if it turns yellow, it's not so obvious. Don't quite understand the "like granite" but not granite, though. Is it still solid surface?
  15. Wow. That's really great! You're not changing any tiles, right? So, it's mostly carpentry work?
  16. Is this for half day or full day CCC? I'm paying $505 for half-day. The current one sounds really scary. Why did you shift him from the ex-CCC - 'cos you moved?
  17. Oh no, stolen shoes? Just one side or both? Looking forward to seeing your purchases, too! So brave of you to shop alone...I dare not...always insist on joint purchases 'else if either doesn't like, he or she has to live with it for a very, very long time.
  18. Wah, Si pitung, you have problems sleeping at night like me. How's your reno. rummi? My carpentry design has undergone changes again . Tried to simplify the design so that I don't have too many mini 400mm cabinets. If you are comfortable communicating by e-mail, I can PM my e-mail address to you...quite difficult to PM pictures right? How about a little divider, Diva79? Mine's a half-height wall to cover the washing machine completely. Should be okay, right, Si Pitung and rummi? But since your reno is finished, a custom made one eg. black wooden divider (heheh, remember your colour scheme is red and black) might be possible?
  19. Haven't bought my oven yet. Does anyone have any good recommendation? (Please excuse me, Odie but your blog has more visitors).
  20. Congratulations on collecting your keys. Buy property of course must pay and pay 'cos in your name...even communist countries now also must pay and pay. FOC - parents' place!
  21. Good luck on finding your Id/ contractor.
  22. How's your reno. coming? The whole place must be hacked up now.
