I never trust IKEA budget stuffs...sure got some problem some where and such instinct never fail me. It seem like IKEA stuffs are not as good as before probably because of the made in certain countries like China. Just thank god that you are not hurt....erm have you try to imagine yourself performing the slow motion stunt to dodge the glass like how Neo(Keanu Reeves) dodge the bullets in Matrix movie? He is in the stylish trench coat while you are the one in pyjamas...hehe !!
-
er...If what you see at Suntec and Siglap centre matches then that is the one loh...hehe
-
Oh yes...it is one of the kind. Just make sure the tacks are stronger kind and not the ones that you use on papers.
-
I started off with bear making but now I am moving on to other animals...erm yah I did thought of doing wedding bears but I find the cost and profit is not very good unless I am doing for a passion. Well...it is just a way to kill time and can give something DIY to my wife. Life is kinda busy right now so many things are on hold....

Yah my bosses are nice people We are a small team but like a family loh...so quite happy working together. Well...when there is a chance, you will see the mural.
-
WAh...I think painting will not look nice loh. Maybe you can get a chinese pot...I think can work also. Remember to take pic and post...
-
Just curious...Hmmm...I wonder where to get a golden bowl, so far I have not see one.

I just want to find somethings to do to relax or entertain myself...working life is hectic so I think making this creatures are kind of lighthearted and will make everyone smile when looking at it. Saw your new painting, it is nice !! Really envy people who can draw because I cannot draw or paint well. I will normally use the computer to do my graphics or art or else camera. Here is another pic of the little bears that I have made using felt. They are the add-ons to Mrs Sumobear's collection

I got that piece from a furniture shop at ubi industry park but it is kind of costly which I do not think is worth it. I found another place that sell similar one that is near boat quay or shenton way...cannot recall the road name but there is a Horse Brand that sell bird nest and other rich food...the shop is just a few unit away.
-
Just want to share with everyone our collection of chairs...the retro, dining, foldable and "beach" chair.
-
Hmmm I think everyone knows where you stay already izzit?
-
Aiyah...give u so many clues already :S Ok 1 more...colour boxes with some wear and tear looking graphics. Nothing is "so good" lah...everyone have different way of making things, just have to hunt for people to do the things for you. Art and design are 2 seperate things loh...art is free expression while design has a client, and serving a client is always not easy. In fact most of the things done FOC is through my boss's contact, everything is settled when he show face.
-
Erm if not you can display a pot of plant instead of washing-up area....simple flowers or greens. Or how abt a telephone booth? Hehe Dry wash-up area sound so ancient china....bring a pail of water in every morning to do wash up....

CONGRATS! :bangwall:
-
So far only see 2 outlets...same interior theme but different mural graphics. You just try to find if it is pizza hut loh...
-
Maybe you can do one big fabric panel and hang on the wall instead of fixing it to the wall... Give u a clue lah...if u can find the place then u will see it...it is a pizza place and so far I spotted it at Siglap and Marina Sq...bonus clue...it is a common household pizza brand. I think very obvious liao...

Hi Mist... Nice work! Can the cover be changed? Mrs SumoBear is pestering me to do something for a wall with interchangeable graphic or fabrics after she see what I have done for a restaurant...but have no inspiration yet. Too many ideas but in the end we choose to rot and enjoy our new home...hehe

Hey apple... You have some great findings. I think the basin holder will look great as a sink base for the toilet but dunno about the durability of wood with water...You must have a chinese golden bowl. I can visualise a nice chinese toilet setting, like having dark jade green wall tiles and use white accessories to beautify the place or maybe a green clear vase with some nice flowers with long stalk. Sorry...I got excited and my mind is like a wild horse. Oops

My friends thought I have a "broken wrist" when I share with them my interest in sewing and craft making. So sad man! In fact I have started sewing by making felt creatures like bears and dogs before I went for actual classic bear making classes. Mrs Sumobear had a puzzled look when I told her that I have a sudden interest but it feels good when I know she like the animals that I made for her

Some people think I am strange for sewing soft toys because everyone never expect a big guy like me to hold threads and needles loh. We are a funny couple, always do something stupid to amuse ourselves...hehe!! Aiyoh...not so personalised till the stage that I use my own sock lah. Do not wish to have a smelly dog...hehe! I got the socks and gardening gloves from Daiso! The dog is made out of a pair of gloves and the sock for the sweater.

I think you can call HDB up to check whether you have the gas piping available for your unit instantly! I did that. You can also look around outside your unit if there is any gas meter. As for the weight of the gas cylinder, I think your cabinet should be able to hold the weight but just that the durability of cabinet maybe affected. You can always have a small support hidden below the hanging cabinet for the cylinder...at standing eye level, you shouldn't be able to see the structure. Since you are paying, challenge your ID on how to solve the problem lah!

I love the light brown colour...

Aiyah...no need to bow at my creativity, just do whatever you feel like doing and that will be your own form of creativity. The dog is very easy to do and it took me about 2-3hrs to complete, anyone with basic sewing skill can already. i found a similar dog at GAP but I still find mine the cutest...heehee small and wearing a sweater. The colour matches our living room colours... I learnt my craft making from books that I bought from Kinnokuniya, the books have nice pictures and lots of inspirations. Please pardon us (Mr & Mrs Sumobear) of posting anything funny on the thread... Hihi eric... Yah I find it so cute and funny when I bring the dog around our home...erm suppose to give a name to this dog but I have not done so. I always give a name to the toys that I have made so far...

Another "try to be funny at home" session, we have a new toy member in our home and it is the dog that I had made from a pair of gloves and sock specially for Mrs Sumobear. We took turns to place the dog at different spots...hehe! It is kind of stupid but it is a fun weekend activity for us at home, peekaboo!
